    At least I'm not alone.

I like Creek as a map, but hate playing it, everyone is a freaking sniper.

Domination on creek is pretty fun

"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D.

It took me about 20 minutes to finally get my download to go through, just don't stop trying and it will work.

The new maps are on par with the current maps, which I think is average.

I love the change of pace in creek, sniping is fun and overall the map is pretty good.

Chinatown is like a chinese version of District, boring to play.

Broadcast is fun, good in headquarters, sabatoge and domination

The last map(can't remember the name) looks like they made it just so they could say they had 4 maps for $10.

Overall it's worth the purchase if you play a lot and need a change of scenery. The maps just aren't very creative and like the original maps play the same way. I guess I am still waiting on the game that gets on Socom I and II's level of map variety greatness.

$10 for 4 maps is too much. And this is the 3rd time I got to pay for the Chinatown map (Carantan in COD2 and COD-PC).

That is probably the least M$ will let them charge. GoW and Halo both released 3 maps for the same price.

Me too, you have to try a million times, but it will work.

Creek i have mixed feelings because I am a sniper, but it's not as fun sniping as overgrown or backlot. Maybe it's because there are too many people sniping (way more than avg.) or because I thought the map was going to be much much larger. I was expecting some long-range sniping, but you can get longer kills on the small 'cargo'. most kills you get, the guy could easily kill you if he saw you even with a short range sub-machine...

Chinatown I like as a great assault rifle map. I really like the multiple building & multi level for all buildings..some have a basement, level, and upstairs floor. It's fun killing people in windows when you're in a window yourself. Also I like if I'm running for some reason and find myself in the video store, or the vaise store lol...it's good for communication too - 'meet me in the illegal video store'

Broadcast is great...so many different things can happen, I snipe and go commando style in the same game multiple times. The fight goes outdoors sometimes, and many times in the lobby...i just wish I've had more firefights in the giant tv room w/ every man from both teams...but i've only played each map about 5 times...anyway I'm glad I picked them up

I played a round last night where I started out sniping, as did several of my random team mates. We did not fare very well as most of the other team used assault rifles and were cleaning house. The enemy UAV was coming up early and often Every time I bedded down in the weeds in my guillie suit, I'd get gutted like a fish

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions

I like all the maps, but chinatown is just a remake of a map in COD2 though which kinda pisses me off a little that they didn't take the time to make a new map.

With that said I memorized the map after 1 try and know all the typical spots players will go through.

Some guys were talking about dead silence earlier, I have put it on with my m16 with a silencer and stopping power. I can run without making noise and I flank like crazy and get a ton of kills sneaking behind snipers and others posting. Plus you can hear other people around you because you make 0 noise running. I had to put on bandoiler because I was running out of bullets all the time.

I use my surround sound as best I can to hear for shots and people running around making noise.

Yeah, that TV room would make for great battles, but everyone goes to that 2 story atrium and the parking lot.

I can't snipe for crap so I'm not really feeling Creek, but Broadcast and Chinatown are pretty cool. Me and Dakkon played some 1-on-1 in Killhouse and had some fun...great map for small games.

                        One question:

Can you play these maps in all game modes? I am only able to play Hardcore Team Deathmatch (it's realistic and fun!) and I am wondering if the maps are available in this mode.

I've tried sniping on Creek a couple times as well and either I don't know the right hiding spots or I just suck, but it hasn't been pretty. SMG is a different story.

One side has a distinct advantage over the other side I believe. I always have a good game sniping on the top side (side with house where you can get on the roof). When I play the valley side....I cant do anything but suck.

Is it just me, or is it just a bunch of 12 year old fools that downloaded these maps. It almost makes multi-player unbearable. Whats wrong with these kids?

The maps take a little getting used to, playing HQ and not knowing what rioom in the building the hq is at is brutal.

I actually really like domination on Creek. had a lot of good little skirmishes over point B. It really felt like being in a war. Sure felt like they had alot more than just 6 players on their team.

COD is such a great game when you are playing with people who know how to play. Its an exercise in frustration when playing with clowns. I was playing HQ and this clown on my team would always lay down in the doorways you couldn't get around him or jump over him. We'd just be about to the HQ and he'd lay down, our whole team would get bottlenecked and destroyed. I can't tell you how frustrating that was.
                                Chalepa Ta Kala.....
