In the huge, eight-page review Tom befriends turrets, throws vending machines off buildings, hacks into security terminals, resolves hostage situations and dismembers foes with augmented fist-chisels to conclude that Human Revolution “is absolutely the Deus Ex of our age, a genuinely worthy prequel, and a game that puts almost everything else in the genre to shame.”Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Deus EX 3 Announced
I agree, I really hope people give this game a shot, even if they didnt play the first two. The story looks incredible, and I think people will get sucked in immediately. And watching the dev diaries it looks like there are so many ways to complete the game it will reward multiple playthroughs. I think Jensen will go into the videogame badass hall of fame after this haha. I can't wait!!Comment

So many people are going to sleep on this title, and miss out on a truly special game.Comment

Re: Deus EX 3 Announced
This is a prequel so playing the first two should not be necessary (I think they did it as a prequel specifically for that purpose considering the time since the last game and the platform change).Comment

Re: Deus EX 3 Announced
I happened to miss out on the 1st Deus due to not having a good computer at the time. And I didn't even know this game was even being made, I might have but probably thought it would be a half assed game to cash in on the old IP.
I'm glad i was wrong and i will be purchasing this game. Not sure on which system tho, except that it wont be on a PS3(mine died)."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Deus EX 3 Announced
so this game is action/stealth with a little RPG sprinkled in?
is that accurate?
how are the stealth mechanics in the game? is it solely based on cloaking and invisibility or you have to time your movements, hide here and there and then strike?
someone please shed a light on this....
thanksComment

Re: Deus EX 3 Announced
I only just started following this game a couple of days ago and that's pretty much what I've gathered as well. I already pre-ordered the Augmented edition either way it looks great.Comment

Re: Deus EX 3 Announced
Yes the cloaking and other augmentations will help but with the cover system you can avoid enemies and cameras. A good comparison for the stealth mechanics might be Metal Gear and Splinter Cell. This game takes it up a notch though because there are so many different ways to poss through an area.
You can sneak in using silenced weapons avoiding confrontation, you can shoot everybody with crazy loud guns, or maybe you read someone's security system log-in on a phone lying around and use that log in to hack the security system and open locked doors and shut off cameras.
The flexibility means many different types of gamers can play this game a multitude of ways.
This video has already been posted but it explains this well in case you missed it.
