Re: Deus EX 3 Discussion
I just finished the first mission (Sarif Industries) without killing anyone and I must say, I felt pretty badass. Why?
After sneaking my way thru, knocking certain people out, I finally reached a point where I thought, "well, ****. I don't see any way around these fools! Time to throw some next level ****." So I go into cover, studying their patterns. Feeling confident, I wait for a bunch of them to get near each other then BAM! Concussion grenade at your feeble human bodies! I go out of cover, sprint down then jump to where these stunned mofos are. I knock two out in quick, cinematic succession. Running out of energy, I quickly eat a power bar and knock the other guy out before he recovers. All of a sudden, another guy shoots me and my screen goes red. I quickly duck for cover, wait for him to reveal himself, then BOOM, he's sleeping with a dart right to his chest.

Re: Deus EX 3 Discussion
I'm still surprised they managed to create such a sophisticated game when so many are heavily focus tested these days. They nailed the world too. It's so incredibly well realized. I've probably spent at least an hour reading emails and e-books.

Re: Deus EX 3 Discussion
I am sitting here at work replaying in my mind over and over how I could of did the first Sanders missions over. I sneaked my way through and killed no one. But when I went through the vent system and arrived in the hostage room, I failed on the hacking attempt and the gas was released into the room forcing me to flee and killing all the hostages.
I then pushed on and talked Sanders down earning 2 aug points and 1 point picked up giving me 3 points to spend before the next mission. But I really want to save the hostages!!!I guess I need to accept I failed those poor people and move on with the game. But secretly in back my mind I can't wait till I can do my second play through and finally save them lol

Re: Deus EX 3 Discussion
I've never played a Deus Ex game before, and quite frankly, I'm not that familiar at all with the game's storyline and gameplay. One game that I picked up recently for cheap was Alpha Protocol. In reading consumer reviews for that game, a lot of people compared certain elements of that game to Deus Ex series. What I like about Alpha Protocol is the amount of choices you have in completing missions and how interaction with NPC's directly affects the storyline's outcome. Can someone who is thoroughly familiar with Alpha Protocol and who has the newest Deus Ex give me a quick analysis on how much better Deus Ex is to AP?According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment
