    Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)

im just now about to go to sleep. i been on this game now off and on for the last 6 hours.

i finally unlocked Seth after beating the game with everybody. the guy can be vicious but he is slow as molasses(sp).

i love most of the cutscenes in this game for the stories. they really did a great job with that. especially when u FIGHT YOU RIVAL. that is my favorite part.

so after being on a losing streak and having my BP fall to 500 and something, im back up to 1600. i never thought when i purchased this game that my main character would be BLANKA. he is my best fighter when playing online and is a great counter to the Ken/Ryu/Akuma show that is ranked matches online. the rape boots is on baby!

here are the opponents i have faced the last 2 days online:

Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

I have not run into one person that had trouble executing a throw or even an ultra for that matter. PPP can be assigned to one button, so how is that harder than a super move?
When you play with an arcade stick, assigning three punch to one button doesn't feel like an option. Sure there are extra buttons, but playing on an arcade stick doesn't feel the same when you play with 7 buttons.

I see your point on their comments about throws but overall, it's still ridiculous. Guile was catching guys out of mid moves with those throws. IIRC he caught Honda out of his headbutt....

With Rufus, Guile and Chun Li, I'm almost totally off of Ken, but there are some things I need to practice with Ryu before I can drop him totally.
OK folks, it's true Born beat me 10 times in a row. Man his Rufus is insane. The only strategy I could use against Rufus was to hide in the corner and block. I think it worked well.

but there is light in the tunnel. I did land a couple ultra combos and in our ninth fight, I got a near perfect on him. I think I had about 85-90 percent health left. And that's a win to me.

and Born the Chun-Li you flashed was pretty lethal, even if you can't do her ultra.

now that i will agree with. that video was crazy lol.

if u cant reverse an air throw then thats just foolishness. i played this one guy and thats all he did to me. he trapped me in the corner and whenever i jumped he air-threw me. now im ok with getting my a** whooped but if there absolutely nothing i can do to reverse an air throw then thats bull.

and these wake-up Shoryukens is irritating the f*** outta me! everyone does the same thing.

It's so easy to punish people who do the wake up shoryukens. Block or jump over them as they are rising from the ground and they are wide open every time.

You guys are totally overreacting to the airthrow vid. The air throw is a counter attack. You have to anticipate someone's move, jump, and then do the air attack before, or after the attack animation that they put out. If you think someone is going to air throw, all you have to do is attack very early. That vid makes it look easy, but the timing window for that success rate is very, very small.

This is what people call "Theory Fighter". In theory, the air throw is powerful, but there is no one in casual play, or in tournaments dominating with Guile's air throw.

Sportsdude. Yeah, I think it was Ryu that got lumped up that first round. My Ryu sucks, lol. He's actually behind Guile on my depth chart now. They changed a few minor things with Ryu from 3rd Strike, and I haven't adjusted yet. I can win with him, but I don't play the new "Ryu style" yet.

                Rufus, however, has not disappointed.

You attack early and from a further distance. Obviously this is more difficult if you're in the corner, but that's why the fight within a fight is to get the other guy into the corner. His options are limited because he can't create space.

oh dont get me wrong, i punish them all the time. and yes its easy to do so. but i just get annoyed that EVERYONE used the same strategy with ken.............everytime they get knocked down, wake-up shoryuken. when u get knocked down, cross-up shoryuken. when u throw a projectile, jump over shoryuken.

its funny cuz i whoop thier *** everytime but its annoying to me because everyone plays the same.

He'll work well with your focus attack game. I haven't even started a basic focus attack game yet. I think I'm gonna start it with Chun. Maybe Rufus too.
