Maybe it will just depend if I can find the Ryu controller for 360... hmm...
I ordered the ryu controller on 360 from amazon. I can't freakin wait.

And it seems people are hellbent on hating on the gamepad for no reason.

check this review out. all the reviews i've seen have been top notch. This thing works better than any d-pad i guess ever.

I think I might get this tonight after work or tomorrow. I don't plan on getting a new controller or arcade stick and I know that puts me at an inherent disadvantage online. But I'm not trying to be a pro or anywhere near that. Just want to have some fun and hopefully not lose every match.

Vast, did you see my demo vid for the pad? Good things are in the mail for you, bro. It's a couple pages back.

Hey guys, here is the word on lag from the shoryuken.com forums.

In general, 4/5 or 5/5 bars is perfect, with no lag whatsoever. 3/5 is no major problems, maybe a hiccup here or there. 2 bars is bad. 1 bar is bad but 0 bars is oddly random, sometimes giving a perfect match.

The PS3 guys seems to be having more lag trouble than the 360 guys. I'm just a messenger.

Thanks for the review for the D-Pad. I picked it up, and I am actually winning games in HD online now. It is really superb.

If you enjoy fighting games at all or even just first-rate games in general, I'd say it's worth it. I am having trouble pulling of some of the tougher moves, but I know it's my fault. There is a nice training mode available in the Challenge menu where you can practice and it tells you what to do to pull off moves. I am just having trouble figuring out how to actually pull the tougher ones out there. I have spent very limited time with the game, but it feels wonderful as long as you like that old 2D fighter feel. Definitely and old-school vibe around it, but beautiful in it's own way.

I haven't tried online yet and I won't until I get some more stuff down. We'll see how that goes. I may be on later tonight if anyone wants to beat the cr@p out of me.

EG, you on the PS3? If so we'll have to hook up so you can get some wins.

                  I only have a 360. I'm on there. Sorry.

I've won a few in a row now.

                    Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)

Picked this up from my Gamestop today and I must say it's REALLY fun, despite the 3D graphics, it definitely channels SFII, which I know was the intention of the developer. Mission accomplished, in my case.

The only problem I have with fighting games is...there isn't really a feature (like a "franchise mode") that keeps me coming back. But since it plays so much like SFII, I have a feeling it'll become a "party game" around my house that my friends and I can spend hours playing. As a single player experience, though, I'd love to get some mileage out of it. We'll see in a few months.

                      Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)

well my main concern in getting this was that I just wasn't good enough. I have no problem losing because I know SF players are so supremely talented but when I downloaded Turbo HD Remix, I played about 30 ranked matches and won none.

With the anticipation of SF IV here I decided to give Turbo HD Remix a go again after three weeks of having not touched it. Lost my first match pretty bad but then dusted some dude playing as Akuma and scraped by another guy playing as Dee Jay before I lost to a guy playing as Ken. So after time off and having never won a ranked match, I won two in a row. I'm confident SF IV will have a much larger user base than HD Remix and that if I study certain techniques like EX attacks and FADC I'll be able to hold my own, to some extent, without having to get a controller.

However for the time being I'm going to be a complete newb. I'll be getting it on 360 for anybody that wants to play, hopefully tonight or tomorrow. Got some work to do first before I try to pick it up.

I just can't see this game being lag free once everyone hits the servers. Maybe after it's been out a while and people are not having trouble with lag, I might get it.

Way to keep talking yourself out of it Dook. Just stick to your CoD and L4D.

Any impressions on playing with C. Viper and Abel? I know when I head back home me and my friends will be playing this a lot and those are the two characters I'm interested in.
