Gamestop.

I played a game online(wasn't trying to but I was challenged in the middle of a match against the computer) and there wasn't any lag at all, so that shouldn't be a reason to not get the game.

This is really pissing me off, I called my local Gamestop twice and they are yet to have it. It Looks like now that instead of shipping it out the day before the release date they ship it on the release date (i.e Prince of Persia) I really hope this doesn't become a pattern for other game companies.

Well I got mine today. I guess you had to preorder it for Gamestop to give it to you. The only reason I preordered was cause of the Collector's Edition.

I guess I have to take a chance and go myself because I pre-ordered mine Funny thing I forgot that I received a call saying that my local gamestop was getting it this afternoon. I can't to get my hands on my SFIV CE, I'm going to wear the Ryu headband while listening to The Last Dragon Theme.

I never got the call from Gamestop saying it was in, so I just stopped by on the way home from work. They told me it ships today will be in the store tomorrow. Even on the big black board that has the most anticipated games above the counter said 2/18. Tomorrow it is then...

Got in just enough time for a taste. As a newbie, it's going to take a while for me to see the depth in the game, as right now I am just using the punch/kick buttons and have gotten off a few simple combos. The game looks fantastic and the controls are responsive. Right away there is an update to download; not sure what it does. As most of you probably already know, it grades you on offense, defense and technique after each match, so that's kind of cool.

Well, the baby's crying again (there's something new), so it'll be a while before I get to jump back in. I am installing it to the PS3 hard drive right now.

Jim, would you say its well worth picking up? From the videos it looks like it retains a lot of that old school feel.

Nah, man. A lot of places don't have it yet. One GameStop I was at kicked forty people out of the store, lol. Most of them had it reserved. Seems like the shipment is late for some places.

There is a blockbuster level of interest for this game though. Kind of out of nowhere for me. A lot of guys at Gamestop were surprised that there was a huge line. Every store owner I've seen has clearly been asked "do you have SFIV?" a billion times. I have my fail safe places to pick it up tomorrow. In the mean time I'll have to be responsible and get some work done.
