Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
I would like to congratulate Tmagic today on his clutch victory against Rufus in the third round. Brilliant super combo to end it.
EDIT: nothing like a little Guile medicine.Last edited by Bornindamecca; 02-25-2009, 07:39 PM.Comment

Born, how are you so good with Guile? He seems like an impossible to use character for me. It's ruining my SF experience since he used to be the only guy I used.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Guile is undefeated online.
He has a new overhead punch (forward+m.punch). People have to block that high. So his throw/high/low game is insane. If people are directly on top of you, use his Fierce punch to anti air. Once you throw your sonic boom, walk forward behind it. You can also press back(away)+l.kick to do the jumping knee towards them. This keeps you moving forward, but charging at the same time, which is a significant advantage, because you can hop forward and throw a Sonic Boom. This throws off people's Guile Defense big time.
His EX Flash Kick is a home run. It kills damn near every move in the game, many supers included. His punches and kicks do big damage for a character of his speed and size, so give people a healthy helping of them. Low jabs into the flash kick are a fine way to fight up close. If you think someone is going to sweep, you can be fancy and press forward/away+h.kick to do his flip kick over their move.
Use his super or ultra to punish whiffed moves close and jump ins. His knee and sonic boom can make people more eager to jump in on you. Throw out his low roundhouse as little as possible.
Here is one Guile setup to get you started.
(slow) Sonic Boom>
Walk in
low m.kick>overhead punch
(slow)Sonic Boom
Jump in
low jab/short Sonic Boom
OR
low m.kick+overhead
OR
overhead
OR
Throw
This mixup is money. Use both on the ground and with jump ins.Last edited by Bornindamecca; 02-25-2009, 08:02 PM.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
so I was having kind of a bad day online, couldn't connect with born and was losing a bunch of matches. I decided to switch over to ranked, did quick matches and picked the first guy I could select. Reeled off three nice wins in a row to get my 3-in-a-row achievement, easily won the fourth and then was faced against a guy who was using Ken in the fifth match. I could tell right away by his icon and how he started the match he was good. He was canceling out of hadokens into combos and dragon punches left and right and annihilated me in the first round. Second round I came back with a close win, helped by me connecting on a super combo. Third round was back and fourth but I hit some change of direction combos and then got a leg sweep to put him down for good. Got the five ranked wins in a row achievement and damn it felt good. The guy was clearly more skilled than I, except for today.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Congrats, man! That 5 ranked win achievement feels great, doesn't it? Good job. That's what it's all about.
Real sorry we can't connect. What the hell?Damned internets! It's just you and Hmac, though EG couldn't connect earlier either. It's weird, because I have no trouble with the guys that I CAN connect with. Tmagic, Shogun, Mo, jmood...perfect connection with no lag.

and yeah it's frustrating we can't connect. I'll try again in a week or so, maybe some stuff will have been sorted out by then. If not, then I suppose I'll never know the feeling of getting pummeled by you.Lux y VeritasComment

I played Grandmaster Born today and he took a piece of my *** with him as a souvenir. My arms were too short to box with God.Comment

If you like fighting games, it's a must own.
My jealousy of EG took over and I had to get that Wolrd Champion Achievement, lol.Last edited by Bornindamecca; 02-25-2009, 09:20 PM.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Anyone feel like sending me a free copy of this game? No?
In that case, has anyone dealt with gameroomdeals.com? They have SFIV for $45 and i'm wondering how reliable they are.Last edited by Tha_Kid; 02-25-2009, 11:19 PM.Comment
