It only took about an hour to learn his moves.

I would like to congratulate Tmagic today on his clutch victory against Rufus in the third round. Brilliant super combo to end it.

EDIT: nothing like a little Guile medicine.

That got damn Guile...lol.

Born let's you feel good about beating him with Rufus. Then he immediately goes to Guile the next match and creams you. A very short lived


And Mo has got to play one of the best cat and mouse games I've seen so far. You can't play aggressive with him at all. I learned that real quickly. He had to have thrown me about 5 times every round. The Iron Sheik and Mr. Perfect couldn't even match what Cammy was doing with her suplexes.




On a side note...I am seriously thinking about investing in one of these so called "pads" for this game. There are too many times where I end up doing something that I was SO NOT intending to do.

Case in point...Last night against Mo's Cammy, I would try to go for a dragon punch when Cammy is coming in for that leaping throw that she does. I would get caught with SO many times because my character would jump instead of doing the intended move. It happens a lot of times against other people and it leads me to verbalizing improper language.

Not only that, but it just makes me look like a duck sometimes because I'll go for a move and my character is just jumping back and forth on the screen while punching looking like an idiot.

I was watching some CPU versus matches on the hardest level (which is the only time I'll see that level because I'm just not that good ), and Zangief just DOMINATES everyone. I haven't seen him lose a match against any other character. Turn it down to Medium or so and he can actually lose (he doesn't instantly piledrive like on Hardest), so that's certainly more entertaining to watch.

I did the same thing when I first got the game. Bison was whooping up on everybody until I put him up against Zangief who proceeded to dominate like you mentioned. I had him go against just about everybody and he didn't lose to anyone. Complete domination.

Thanks for the kind words good sir lol...but the sad thing is, I was MUCH better with him in Super Turbo. They really nerfed him in IV and I think hes the worst character but hes still effective. Are you talking about the wall dive that crosses you up and hits behind you or the one where I jump off the wall behind you?

So...what's everyone's BP in ranked matches on here? I'm hovering around 400-500, but at least I'm not dropping back to 0 anymore...LOL.

Highest I've seen on the PS3 was a 3100. I don't really check the rankings though - I just know that from after a match with them.

I basically job every time out on PS3.

My Guile is getting worse and worse. I was nailing his Super and Ultra then all of a sudden, it has gone to garbage.

I've mastered an easier character in Ken, but I guess I just haven't found that Char yet.

BTW, did everyone have problems trying to pull off Ultra's? I can hit supers at a pretty good rate, but I cannot get an ultra anymore. Guess I just have to keep on practicing. This game is addicting though.

They hurt Vega pretty bad. That startup at the beginning of his roll is killer. Once I saw that his new move was taking his mask off on purpose, I dropped all hope of playing him. If I'm gonna struggle with someone, I'd rather it be Fei, not someone who used to be awesome, lol.

Hopefully people will figure him out more with time, but right now I'm loving Rufus and Guile.

I'm in love with using Sakura now. Love her moveset (I know it's very Ryu/Ken-esqe, but she's just a blast to use).

Yeah, I know that one all too well....

I was able to counter it only because I could anticipate it. I don't know if vertical special attacks work 100%, but that's what I did.

Had some great fights with CoF late last night, and between that and the later ranked matches, learned that my supposed 2nd is probably now my 1st. I'll probably be using Cammy a lot more now. Maybe it's just because everyone and their mom knows how to fight against Ryu, and less so against Cammy.

She has some sweet EX moves - A hooligan combo with a really high angle (and fast), and my favorite - being able to use the aerial cannon strike while jumping backwards. Sometimes I've crossed people up so bad with that one that I end up on the other side of them!

Absolutely convinced I'll never get Gouken, as I cannot do Akuma's Ultra to save my life.

Unless someone tells me I don't have to use Akuma to get Gouken

If my understanding is correct while you have to use Akuma you don't have to use his ultra as supers also cause flashy backround finishes.
