    Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)

My biggest problem right now is not hitting the specials, but I find myself lingering on the Heavy Punch/Kick buttons way too much. Especially using a light hitting speed character like El Fuerte, I end up hitting a lot of long animated moves.

Really need to train myself down from that.

Great vids, Born. This game is a thing of beauty when you know what you're doing. I'm getting creamed online (like 0-15), right now. It's frustrating, but fun. Just have to keep practicing.

There's this challenge with Ryu that I couldn't get for the life of me until I read up on what people call Negative Edge.

It's Jump + hard kick, hard punch, shoryuken, shinku hadouken.

now trying to cram all of that was near impossible for me but with negative edge, I can Jump + hard kick, hard punch, shoryuken (hold down on the punch), then do the motion for the shinku hadouken and let go of the hard punch and the shinku hadouken will come out.

i was like 'WHOA!" when it came out so easily for me
Can use that getting up off the ground too. Can do an ultra the second you get up.

El Fuerte would like to cook some spicy food for you one day...this information will allow him to discover many recipes from his opponents.

Guile used to be the man I always play with. He's just too damn hard to use in this game.

By the way, I'm 0-12 online. This game pisses me off.

Moses...The trick to Guile is first to throw that Sonic Boom out regularly. Then you have to give your opponent a steady diet of EX Flash Kick, which is one of the most powerful moves in the game. Finally, you have to remember that Guile is very strong. He can beat you DOWN with just punches and kicks. I've had rounds where after that first Sonic Boom, it was a quick couple of Fierces and Roundhouses to a dizzy. Then walk to them, charge up and do a Low Medium into the EX Flashkick. Throw out another Sonic Boom and watch them overreact in pure desperation.

Three things that are huge help to Guile in SF4:
                  > m.punch Overhead Punch
                  >or < and l.kick Jumping Knee
                  >or< and h.kick Spinning Kick

These moves allow you to mix up and move backwards and forwards while charging. Mix in the Air Throw and Ex Sonic Boom, and you have a very, very solid character.

There's a lot of pages here and I don't really feel like skimming through them. Has anyone posted how to unlock all of the characters by any chance?

I third the request for a cancel tutorial, and if possible, any canceling tutorial you could are up for doing.

The thing about places like shoryuken.com - they're for the people who already are good at Street Fighter. I was reading about how they don't help out a lot of the beginners because a lot of the members there just don't feel like going back to teaching people the basics of the game, essentially.

Thanks for all your videos so far. They're extremely helpful for guys like me!
