I switched to a Sanwa Octagonal gate for a little while, and the gate itself worked very well. I just determined it wasn't for me and went back to the stock square gate. I can't remember who I bought it from though.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Capcom employees, Seth Killian and Christian Svensson, talked about Super Street Fighter 4's Tournament Mode DLC and other online options as well as briefly discussing the Vs. series recently on the Unity Boards. Here's what they had to ...
Will Super Street Fighter 4's Tournament Mode DLC have brackets?
Seth: Brackets [will] be a part of the Tournament Mode DLC that's coming to SSFIV after launch (it's free!). We should have a flood of new info about the Tournament Mode coming in ~2 weeks, so rather than tease with some vagueness, I'll just say "stay tuned" and give you the full story then.
If I'm not fighting, can I watch matches being played in SSF4's Endless Battle mode?
Seth: Even if you are not playing, you CAN still watch the match being played while you're in "Endless Battle" (aka arcade-style lobbies) mode, or in "Team Battle" mode. Voice chat also works, so you can discuss what's happening with everyone else while you're waiting to play.
Will there be an option in SSF4 to enable Japanese names for the cast members? I'd like Boxer to be M. Bison, etc.
Sven: I believe the names are selected by the region associated with the hardware. So if you bought your machine in Japan and it has a Japanese location setting, you should see the Japanese names.
Will we see PC Collector's Edition versions of Capcom titles?
Sven: Retail in North America is increasingly less supportive of PC releases in general, much less secondary SKUs. On the other hand, our digital PC business is accelerating. That said, you've given me an idea. Perhaps our Capcom e-Store can fulfill the fan needs on this front. Let me speak to our licensing group about it.Last edited by eDotd; 04-11-2010, 07:57 PM.

Mo, how has you're transition from fight pad to fighting stick been? Are you now executing much better than before, now that you're on a stick?
I'm very tempted to get a fightpad just to see if im better with the pad. Im good with the stick, its just the super hand speed necessary for the advanced moves are insane.Last edited by Vast; 04-12-2010, 05:23 PM."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
The latest Japanese Super Street Fighter 4 development blog has been posted, and in this week's entry the team covers balance changes for Rufus, El Fuerte, C. Viper, Abel, Akuma, Seth and Gouken.Azrael has translated the entire post.
Have there been any changes to the CPU boss characters?
Okada:
The boss characters are completely different from the playable versions. The boss versions of Seth, Akuma, and Gouken are the strongest (laughs). They may look the same, but their frame data is completely different.
Tamamura:
Many players told us that CPU Gouken was on the weak side, so we've re-adjusted him to be more like a boss character. The moves may look the same, but their functionality is much stronger. On the hardest difficulty setting, they'll give you a run for your money. However, we have made the easiest setting a bit easier, so a wide range of players will be able to enjoy the game.

Honestly it's a matter of preference. In theory, you should be able to execute better on a stick, but some people just prefer a pad. You hear people saying "Oh you need a stick if you really want to be competitive" but it really comes down to what you prefer. There are guys just as beastly with pads as other are with sticks (AuLord, Wolfkrone, etc).
I'm pretty comfortable with both, but I'm better with a stick. The extra real estate you get with a stick just allows me to play more comfortably. Some guys don't need that though.
Basically..use whatever you want.
Except the 360 controller, that thing sucks.Last edited by eDotd; 05-15-2010, 02:15 PM.

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Just finished this earlier today. This is my second PS3 stick, and the last stick I'll get/make until I need a new one.
It's a modded HRAP3. Took out the Hori buttons changed the layout to japanese 6-button style, threw 8 (6 face & start/select buttons) black Sanwa's in, replaced the ball top with a yellow bubbletop, also replaced the stock gate with an octogonal gate. I can't really test it yet since I don't have any fighting games for the PS3. I did test the buttons though, which all seem to be working. Artwork isn't to extravagant, just something I did while I was bored in class one day. It definitely could've been positioned better (Bruce's face is cut off in the Green Hornet picture on the right). Came out pretty solid imo, considering how much work (or how little) was put into it.
