Public games were changed when the Reaper of Souls expansion. In vanilla D3 you could join a public game with people of similar level. For example, a level 40 could join a game with a level 43, a level 38 and a level 45, as long as everyday had the same areas and difficulties unlocked. Reaper of Souls changed that. Now you can pick your difficulty without having to unlock it, but to combat that Blizzard made it so you can only join public games with people that are EXACTLY the same level as you. Not many people play as a level 58 in public games, that's why it's so hard to find one to join. If you were level 70 and did adventure mode on torment 1, you'd see between 5,000 - 8,000 people there alone.

The best way to handle this is to join a public game, and since you're not 70 a lot of times it will put you there by yourself. That's fine, start slaying some monsters. A few minutes pass by and then you'll notice somebody else at your level joins in. Then another, and another until you finally have a foursome. This is how I leveled my Crusader. I started public games and would just keep playing as people would trickle in and out. Sometimes you rock out as a lone wolf or find some guy that wants to duo with you for a while. Other times you find three awesome people who stay together and slay **** for two hours straight. It's a bit of a crapshoot, so don't be discouraged if you don't see people at your level in public games right away.

Also, it's probably easier to find people in adventure mode than story mode.

Thanks man, good tips. Two nights ago I started adventure mode on hard with my level 19 Demon Hunter. After about 20 minutes two others joined in, and we played about an hour.

Anyone getting the Ultimate Evil Edition for PS4? I was on the fence about it, but seeing how much better the Last of Us looks, I am going to pre-order this week sometime.

I'm getting it for sure. I played on the PS3 after it dropped for months without getting bored. Once the PS4 version was announced, expansion and all, I shelved the PS3 version so it wouldn't get stale.

Only issue is going to be trying to balance time between this and Destiny.

I am getting it to. I didn't grab the PS3 version and never played a Diablo game. All new for me.

Likely getting this, passing on Destiny. My biggest problem with this game will be that the PC version will have greater rifts and stuff that this wont, at least for now.

FYI this game will have all the dlc plus it 1080p 60 FPS. Imagine all those enemies on the screen with virtually no slow down.

FYI this game will have all the dlc plus it 1080p 60 FPS. Imagine all those enemies on the screen with virtually no slow down.

I don't have to imagine it - already know what it looks like on my PC. Pretty.....and chaotic.

Diablo 3 on console: when is 60fps not really 60fps? - Gameplay can run at two frame-rates simultaneously on PS4 and Xbox One - but right now the Microsoft console has the advantage.

In essence then, while Diablo 3 can in some part claim to be operating at a perfect 60Hz refresh, the core hack-and-slash mechanics don't quite hit the same lofty target. It's unfortunate, and affects the heart of the combat at times where inconsistency in controller feedback can be jarring. Equally confusing is the fact it impacts the PS4 version primarily, while the Xbox One - which clearly utilises the same technique - only suffers its wrath to a light degree.
