      Diablo 3

I got a bunch of gifts yesterday. I remember most of them. Is there any way to view a history of past gifts to make sure I dont leave anyone out? When you're sending gifts is there an easy way to see what the recipient can actually use?

The way this works is that the gift you earn from a monster isn't actually an identified item yet - its properties don't get determined until the recipient identifies it. And with the way loot works now, that means it's always going to be level-relevant to the recipient, and usually good for their class.

Here's an example. I received a gift chest armor from someone on my friends list (real-life friend, not someone from OS) who is a level 13 Monk. I was 61 at the time I received it. Once I identified it it rolled as a Level 60 legendary armor with loads of Dexterity (exactly what I need in my equipment as a DH). It was much better than what I was currently using.

Obviously, under normal trading circumstances I wouldn't be able to receive a L60-anything from a L13 character (and that is his only character). But this is how the gift thing works, and it's pretty cool.

You can, of course, gift an actual identified item to someone, but yeah, it helps to make sure it's at least relevant to their class.

Jaredlib's nemesis tried to eat me, wow they're mean. All I got was a gift for Valdarez for my troubles.

I (Tolrar) sent probably a dozen more friend invites on PSN, if I missed you feel free to add me. I also send name requests, if that's not your thing that's totally cool just ignore them

I have this for PC cause I was a big D2 fan but never really played this much. I hear it's better with the expansion and patch.

Can you play expert with a level 1 character? Like I see you're level 34 and said you finished act 1, is that cause of the difficulty level or had you beaten the game on a lower level already?

I ask because Hell mode was obviously impossible for a new character on D2.

I woke up around 7 and figured I'd play a little before watching ufc on fight pass...

Now,it's 2 PM and I feel like I've been playing for ten minutes. Just got paragon 50. Four man rift/bounty groups are awesome.

I was in one with two barbs and a wizard and it was still really smooth. A barb dropped and a witch doctor joined, frame rate took a hit then but still playable

Wasnt planning on getting this, but I kinda impulse bought this the other day because I really wanted something new to play. Glad I did. It is pretty addictive, and I feel like I've played it a lot already and am through Act 2. Now that Im accustomed, what is a good difficulty? Hard seemed actually fairly easy.

Yeah, I've been playing on Expert. Slow start, but things got rolling pretty fast with levels, loot, and abilities.

Unless you're playing Hardcore, you might try experimenting with Expert if Hard is too easy. That's as high as you can go anyway until you've completed the first 4 acts, then Master unlocks and Torment becomes available once a character reaches 60. From then on you'll have access to all difficulties with any new character you start.

The main problem with playing a higher level early on is that some battles can become extremely tedious due to you not having great DPS. It's just up to you if you want the higher XP/Gold bonus for playing a higher level, or just tearing through the main game on an easier one to get to the more challenging difficulties faster.

I'm now playing Torment 1 as I'm nearing the end of Act 5, and it's definitely not a cakewalk at that point. Enemies hit hard and I can very easily die if I get caught in the wrong place.
