Got a dumb question. if I map say, Provoke to my A button on X1. Can I not swing my weapon? Just trying to figure out the mechanics of how that works.

You could but you'd need to assign your other to another button is all.

Ok, from what I read most players just use their weapon as a stat boost anyway. But I think I can assign my left trigger something, as it does nothing now.

My buddies and I are going to be booting up D3 (no expansions) tonight for the first time in years (?) and I have to say I'm very excited lol. We play a lot of competitive games like CounterStrike and League of Legends so it's going to be a nice change of pace to play a dungeon crawler with no pressure to "win". Now to figure out what character to play as!

The new lands are for everyone, it's not got anything to do with the paid Necro DLC. I hear a lot of people complaining about the price of the Necro. Well boo hoo...I don't think people have any idea how much work went into balancing a whole new character. Heck they even had to redo how the game works with the dead bodies.

If they overcharged for it, as some people say, sales will show that and next time they will charge less. My guess though is this will sell a lot. Blizzard ain't dumb and this ain't their first DLC rodeo

Me personally? I think it's well worth $15..

$15 for a single character is above the market standard, and there isn't anything wrong with pointing that out. Blizzard has the brand loyalty to pull off premium price, but I don't think that anyone should be lambasted for being critical of it. I am a bit of a consumer advocate though.

On topic though... Necro OP lol. I've always just been a casual D3 player so I don't really have the best stuff, but my friend and I got to level 70 in a day and ripping through some greater rifts. I managed to get some good rolls to finish off the tragoul 6 piece, but I'm missing the rest of the gear that really makes it work. Hoping to get the rathma set my friend has. It seems much safer overall.

Played for about two hours last night and it was a blast! We all started new characters, cranked up the difficulty and grinded. I think we are around level 25-27 and have got a couple good drops each so far. I went with the wizard and her orb is pretty sweet. I'm going to have to research some builds to see what goes well with her.

My brother bought the necro last night. OP!!!

Its such a great game. I had no idea how deep the end game was. This game is basically what Destiny wanted to be. A gear grinder that's fun and addictive to play. No offense to Destiny fans, but D3 really nails the endgame.

The game is good, don't get me wrong, but it's not as good as Diablo 2 was. This game even on the highest difficulties I never really feel like I'm in imminent danger of dying and I don't really need to plan out my skills or moves. I just spam them, reload on energy and spam some more.

I find that hard to believe that you can just spam skills and not think about it on Torment 13.... I've never made it past Torment 8 I believe

Have you actually hit 70 and started running rifts? The difficulty cranks up big time on higher torment and greater rift levels. You'll hit difficulty levels a bit too high for your character where you'll die in one hit.

It took me a LONG time to hit torment 13 and greater rift 70 with my DH. My other characters are only on like torment 11-12 after a ton of grinding as well.

Yeah I have well over 200 hours into this game and I've never made it to torment 13, let alone found it "easy"

I have one character at level 70. I just popped on for a few minutes with him today and played on torment. I'm not saying it is easy at all. In took like 5 minutes to clear a wave on my own. It's fun having to put together a good combination of moves to be able to clear the waves.

I don't think the game on the higher difficulties is easy but I don't think I've hit the point where I would be dying regularly.

Well unlike a lot of games this game really starts when you hit the level cap of 70. Then you start working on sets so you can go higher torment levels. Like I said, I've been playing this game many hours and have never gotten to Torment 10.

Agreed. I just bought the necro. Gonna power level it to 70 then get going.
