I popped in Ace Combat 6 after paying the HAWX demo a few times.
Even ACE 6 is pretty fun.

Both games are arcade, but that's cool. Being a total sim wouldn't be all that fun if you had 4 missiles then had to fly back to base, land, re-arm, and take off again... well, for some it would be, but not the masses.

I enjoyed the gameplay that Ace Combat offered, but the story always left something to be desired. It was always very Japanese with over the top bosses and final fights. The last one had you taking down a giant *** rail gun, and flying inside it. I'm gonna love the more realistic setting this game has.

I just returned my Gamefly games, so hopefully I'll get this by the weekend....Let us know what you think of the full game after it comes in! I just wonder about the longevity past the fun of the demo...

I'm interested in hearing some impressions from you guys also. I had fun with the demo, but I'm not sure how how long it will hold my interest.

It might end up being a summer pickup for me, when gaming slows down a bit.

Lol. KZ2 has to a must own. After the POS that was KZ1 they did a nice job. Of course this game looks great and fun also.

I've got enough games like KZ2. I love flying games, and I need another game to use my AC6 flight stick with.

GameInformer Review - 8.75

So much about the game is well done, it’s easy to not notice that almost everything is a little too scripted. It’d be nice to see a little more creativity and adaptability in the enemy AI, but it’s a small complaint when stacked against the impressive feature set of the wider game. H.A.W.X. is the best flight game so far this generation, and a worthy addition to the best in the Clancy stable.

The Blue Angels are some of the premier aerial acrobats in the world. Their death-defying sky ballets have been awing crowds of thousands since 1946. They are amazing, highly skilled pilots, but they’ve got nothing on me. With a racer’s style, I swing the overstuffed caboose of my F-22 in a 180 degree arc, forcing my engines to stall and causing my plane to sink. My opponent’s missiles pass overhead, missing me by feet. In a matter of moments I’m off again like a rocket, emerging behind the enemy bird with missiles locked. The Blue Angels can have their county fairs; I’m taking care of business. H.A.W.X.’s Assistance Off mode gives you heretofore unseen control over your aircraft, turning an otherwise solid flight sim into a visually thrilling experience. It doesn’t hurt that H.A.W.X.’s controls are tight, its four-player co-op is a blast, or its visuals pop with life. Like many flight games, the story is pretty ignorable, but H.A.W.X.’s multiplayer will keep you leveling up to unlock new secrets even after you’ve grown tired of whipping your plane across the sky in Assistance Off mode…if that’s even possible.
