I just tend to be busier during the week, and there's a lot of games that dropped this week for me as well...I'll be playing it more over the weekend offline, not sure if it's one I'd really want to play a lot online, I'll have to give that a shot too.

That being said, if anyone wants to play co-op or online vs., I'd be down any night.Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
Maybe over this weekend we could get in some co-op...I think that I'd enjoy the co-op missions more than just the multiplayer dogfights and whatnot...it's cooler working through actual goals.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
That was my other guess. It wasn't exactly released at a time when it was alone, with other major games coming out at the same time.Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
It could also be a good sign. Typically after a game is released, people usually ask a lot of questions or complain. Since neither are really happening, it could mean that the game is well prepared for making it easy for people to learn about it, like with good thorough tutorials etc. No complains is just that no complain. That's a good non-news when it comes to gaming.Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
I am enjoying the hell out of this game. A friend and I ran through the entire campaign mode in one night. We are going to do it again on Expert. We are just waiting for spring break to hit. I have just been playing random games online. It's always fun, except when it seems your teammates are incompetent and the times where it seems that everyone on the other team is gunning for you. I think one match I ended up dodging 74 missiles.Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
IMO, the main problem with HAWX is that it takes a good gamer about 4 hours to beat single player/coop and the online versus is a joke. Other problems are 20 slightly different versions of the same 10 or so planes and their not really being enough variety between the planes themselves. Also once you get past level 20 it takes forever to gain rank and its really not worth playing once you beat it the first time through to rank up.
As for online, there is only one mode and all 1 on 1 dog fights are basically constant looping matches with assistance on. If a guy gets behind you and you stop doing loops, you lose, otherwise its perpetual looping until someone gets bored or someone decides to speed up. With assistance off it gets slightly more complicated but if there are more then just joint strike missiles, then the matches become BS again. I got this from Gamefly on Monday and its on its way back the following Monday.
Either don't rent it or rent it for the short term imo. This is definitely not a buy.Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
Well I picked up the game. I was quickly disappointed to discover the Coop mode is not available split screen, which my roommate and I were really hoping since we are looking for another good split screen shooter. But after getting over the disappointment I entered the campaign mode. I LOVE it. It is addicting as all hell. Admittedly I'm not the best at flying games like this, but so far its been really really fun. Thats all I was hoping for with the game. I'm sure it will have some decent replay value online, but i'm not a big online gaming fan at all.Twitch: Goblue81188Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
Like the poster mentioned above, it can get a little repetitive with the constant loop battles when someone gets behind you. But in those situations, I always just try to hang on long enough for one of my teammates to come and take him out.
Regardless of how repetitive the gameplay is, it is still a ton of fun. Just last night a friend and I got into some epic battles. It was a 3 round match, 4 vs 4. We lost 2 out of the 3 rounds, but each round was full of lead changes and it came down to the last few seconds to determine the winner.Comment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
So I just pickeup this game today and I'm unable to play online. I'm playing with the PS3. I'm connected to the PSN and when I'm trying to find a match I keep getting the "server unavailable" message or server timed out message. I read the manual and it said something about changing the ports but I have no idea what it is talking about. I went to network settings on my PS3 and couldnt find anything.
I'm using a wired connection by the way, that I use for my laptop and when I play PS i just unplug it from my computer and put it in my PS.
Anyone know whats going on?Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Tom Clancy's HAWX
I haven't played a lot of flying games, but this game is sweet as hell so far. Only a couple of missions in but I'm having a blast. I'll probably try the online when I finish up the campaign.Comment
