From what I have read, most of the negatives come from the single player, while I will be playing mostly multiplayer.

You guys think that's about right?

For me it is. I hardly ever play SP when there is a MP option. For me the MP is very fun and addictive.

The primary negatives I found in the single player were length and repetition. It's very short compared to most sandbox games, and the missions get very boring and repetitive as you get to the end. It can be beat in 10 hours, so you have to judge if you'll be spending much more than that in multiplayer to justify the $60 to you.

Well if the MP is as good as you guys say, I will spend a ton of time there. I might trade in COD4 and COD WaW towards this game. I haven't touched those (except for a few minutes the other night) in months. Most of my shooting time online has been with Killzone 2.

i liked the single player a lot the only thing thats in repetition to me are the side missons but other then that its good but everyone has there own opinion.

I tried playing this game again today before work and the Multiplayer just frustrates me because I suck so much at it.

Gonna give the Single Player a go tonight and see if it's any better.

give it time... some guys are ungodly good... you need to learn the combo of pack/weapon, learn the maps and don't zoom much when shooting... also use the hammer. in close and practice fast switching weapons.

also try the spectator mode and watch what some of the good players do.

LOL! Maybe make a stop after work...lol. I wish I could find it used, so if I didn't like it, I could return it and get my money back.

My friend is a manager at Kinko's, maybe we could do what we ued to. If we bought a game/cd we didn't like, he would re-shrink wrap it and I would take it back...lol

You nasty little boy. Anyway i am going to pick this game up tomorrow or Thursday. MP sounds like a lot of fun

I think you'd enjoy it. The multiplayer is fun and there's never trouble finding a game. Does it have the lasting power of top multiplayer games like COD 4/WaW, Halo 3, Gears 1/2? Probably not. But this will hold me over for the summer until Halo 3: ODST comes out in late September.

Played it for a bit tonight... a little SP and a little MP. Pretty fun, even though i didn't understand what most of the backpacks or weapons did.

I'm finding myself liking Single Player a lot more than MP...

Maybe I'm just odd.
