ok, it seems slantsix has said they are having issues with the servers and it may take a few days for everything to work right. Remember this is a beta and Slansix needs to work these things out. give them a chance to fix things. here's a link to the main Socom web site:

check this site for updates. And yes because of Extreme gamers kindness in giving out 3 codes on his site, I am able to start early with the beta.

I was able to get a few games going but not many, lots of down time as the servers as of right now are just insanely overloaded.

I'm sure as in the message in a few days things will get better, but I do have a few comments.

Game just feels different, mainly because crossroads just isn't the same, but playing around with some guys with mics it really hit home as this is SOCOM. It was refreshing to come back to a game and feel that it has taking strides for the better and while being innovative in some aspects it retained its core, i'm really feeling like the full release will be fantastic after the sample size i've toyed with so far.

not bad actually. The graphics remind me of Resistance but the fire fights are pretty intense.
