He is right. I will be moving to Italy and I been playing non-stop Super Mario 3 to learn about Italian Culture.

dominicans? you were probably in washington heights my friend aka home of the haze and home of alot of dominicans gangs like ddps, and bones. Hopefully GTA has them in it. Also I'm from the bronx, where alot of bad stuff happens and the cops are here are the worst, 46 and 52 precint to be exact, i've seen an undercover cop slap a 8 yr old before and the only reason they didnt sue was cause the lil kid didnt remember who it was

Yeah, hopefully. There's nothing like encouraging gang activity by putting the actual gangs in a video game. That'll show'em!

Don't want to turn this into a race thread, but there are PLENTY of cops who are Black, Latino, Asian.... I just don't see how that would cause you to be scared of them. Crazy **** happens everywhere. To each their own...

I'm pretty sure you will see a lot of racial gangs in GTA4 because it has been in most of the series. You had the Mexican and Black gangs in GTA:San Andreas. There were the Cubans in Vice City... I remember the Chinese in "Liberty City" which was loosely based on NYC (Chinatown).

All in all you can pretty much have a bunch of crazy stuff. Don't forget the Italians in Little Italy...

Race-based gangs are a reality and they should be in the game. It gave a nice flavor to GTA... if the lead character is a Russian, I'm pretty sure that lends credence to the prediction that there will be some racial component to the game IMHO.

This game is going to be insane. For those of us that live/lived in NYC, its going to be freakin insane. I can't wait to let all my frustration with Times Square tourists out!

They better rep Washington Square Park and the Village, where I spent 4 "interesting" years

The whole "gang thing" is seriously over-emphasized...

Yeah, scheduled for late '07. In case you couldn't tell, the video was a spoof of the real trailer, all created using clips from YouTube. Pretty cool.
