This game is amazing. The details in the city are beyond comprehension if you just walk around and look at whats goin on. What makes this game different, is they are setting you p to care about Niko, to take an interest in him, not just run around and annihilate everyone (although that is still awesome).

I like the character development too. They've done such a great job of establishing Niko as a guy who's been through it. Then there's his cousin Roman, the guy who has pipe dreams and is kind of fly by the seat of his pants. Just a great job in distinguishing the two characters. The whole thing compliments the other excellent features of the game.

I am so far behind on all the missions. I spent too much time just wandering around, driving, and killing people.

I haven't started the Vlad chain, nor the Jamaican line. My last mission was the one where you provide cover-fire for the Jamaican dude, and then he becomes one of your contacts. I also need to work on the Michelle storyline, as I've only gone on one date --bowling (which I lost horribly).

You have to work on the Michelle story line. There's a great treat there that'll make you laugh.

I played for about 4 hours last night and had a blast. Even just doing free roam with a few buddies was cool, and then we turned it onto deathmatch. It's a great feeling when you run over one of your buddies with a full head of steam while he's trying to blast you with a shotgun.

Odogg, great mention on the subtitles. I need to turn them on. Since my 360 sounds like a 747, it really makes it hard to hear the voices sometimes. I would just turn it up really loud, but with wife and baby sleeping, that's probably not such a good idea.

The lighting is definitely tricky to find a sweet spot. A high level of contrast on your TV is a must. I'm really loving it though. I finally got a pistol. The auto aim makes it much easier to bust a cap than in Saints Row.

The scope of this game is INCREDIBLE. Don't see all the comments about the graphics... look fantastic to me.

It's just amazing how alive this game is... you literally get lost in this virtual world Rockstar has created.

I mean... it's just amazing.

I heard people talkling about turning up the lighting for a better experience....were you talking about on the TV or can you do it in the game? Im at work at the moment

the lil bit i played last nite, the game is fun! controls will take a bit to get used to. i wish there were a cockpit view in the car. like everyone else, i hate Roman's car.

i maxed out the brightness in the game but this evening i'm going to have to crank it up on the tv. still too dark.

There is. Press select. Three different views to choose from.

The difference is, TJ would.

He told me he's playing the game sim. Not killing anyone unless it's in the storyline, not running stop lights, speeding, etc. LOL I told him in the time it took him to type that out to me, I had killed 17 cops and innocent people. LOL
