I think i'm now legit stuck in this game
SpoilerThe Bernie Crane mission where you chase the blackmailers is the hardest thing ever. My aim sucks so I can't shoot the gas pumps to make it easier and chasing those guys is an impossible task.
I'm also having trouble with the Pegorino mission Payback but I think I can do it (just read the wikicheats walkthrough)SpoilerJust keep close, you can't kill them in the car, they eventually wreck in the park, and you kill them there.Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
Well, I beat the game early this morning. Last two missions were a pain in the ***!!!
SpoilerMy dumb butt decided to deal with Dmitri. That ending was completely lame. Made me mad, so I guess I'll go re-do the ending.
1. The mission where you fight through with Phil Bell. This f'n bastard kept getting in my way! To the point where he got in my line of fire OR he would get behind me and SHOT ME UP! How would've it looked if I got killed by the dude helping me?! Stupid.
Funny thing, first time through, I got had the mission beat. I had the guy in the damn tunnel. I just had to shoot him. Had the truck stuck between the wall and a cab. I went to the front of the cab to shoot the guy....the damn cab decides he wants to move...***NS ME OVER AND KILLS ME!!! Oooooooooo I was highly pissed!!!
2. Catching up with Little Jacob to climb on the heli made me want to give up. I would be right up under the heli and he would pull up at the last second and that was it. Failed mission. Sucky motherf'er!!!Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
Forgive me as i'm going to scattershoot all over here.
SpoilerEG thanks for the tip on the Bernie blackmail mission. It took me an extra 3 tries but I finally got pass it. Ironically the car was the exact same make and color as the blackmailers!
I also was able to get by PAYBACK. That was a pretty cool mission though I think I gave myself more work then necessary. I took out the rocket launcher and blasted the auto dealership and then accidentally killed some cops so I racked up a 3 star wanted level. I had to get out of dodge fast! It took a good 5 minutes before I could escape and get in the pay and spray. To my dismay I found out that there were still enemies alive and I had to go back and kill them.
I also did the cocaine boat mission. Again, that was pretty fun having to shoot up the warehouse with Phil and then take off in a boat. It took me 2 tries though as the first time I got my boat on the jetty and couldn't get it off! That 2nd part of the mission was surprisingly easy as I couldn't kill our pursuers but I kept myself in front of them until they gave up. Docking the boat close enough to the jetty to end the mission took me another 2 minutes though!
Last but not least going back a bit, I have to say the hating the haters mission for Bernie was frustrating. It took me a damn long time to complete it. I finally latched onto the idea of cutting off the guy and getting off my scooter so that when he came my way I just cocked the gun and killed him.
I just hope I can get pass that stupid motorcycle mission for Gerry McReary. Hopefully I can pass the game without completing it but even if I never complete this game i'll be still pretty impressed. This is the furthest i've ever gone in a GTA game and it's by far the most entertaining one i've played. The story seems to be stalled right now but everything is connected so that's good and interesting. I also like the fact that the AI is forgiving and actually compensates for poor gamers like me. (when it comes to these type of games)
I'm really enjoying the gang/mob related missions and I think that'd be an interesting avenue for R* to pursue. (i'm not sure if they do the Mafia games?)
I'm a little sad though as the next really big open world/sandbox game from R* is scheduled to be a PS3 exclusive. I really love old noir movies and to play a game in 1940s LA with a noir feel would be amazing. Hopefully it proves successful enough and it's not a total exclusive as i'd love to play it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

yeah, that's one of the few left I can see myself getting. I'm at around 835, and can't see myself getting the co-op timed ones, or even the multiplayer racing ones.Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
I got one, though it took me a couple times just to get one to appear. I've found that if I'm in a cop car and enter the airstrip, a Buffalo comes each time - might be a coincidence, though. Anyway, I haven't died getting one and I've gotten home okay, but I've had to replace my first one. I was doing a Wanted List mission that involved going into an apartment building and taking out the fugitive. When I kill him I have a 2-3 star wanted level and when I go outside cops swarm on me and park around my Buffalo. I sprint to a truck, drive around the block to scatter the cops and my Buffalo is gone but I didn't see any of the cops take it. It sucked.

Thanks man. I'll try this tonight at the airport.
Like you, I want to use it for cop missions.Comment
