I must be the opposite because I got bored with SR2 after about 10 mins and I LOVED the first one and pretty much played that one to DEATH.

Never played the first Saints, but while Liberty City feels like a real city and I love all the small things, I didn't feel like the actual missions were that fun nor did I feel like there was a whole lot to do like I do with SR2.

This sums up exactly how I felt about the game. Disappointed, but still really neat seeing all the small stuff.

Looking forward to some impressions of the DLC though.

IGN: GTA IV: The Lost and Damned Hands-On

Downloadable content is about to get a major kick in the ***. The release of GTA IV: The Lost and Damned on February 17 is going to change the way people think about DLC. The standard for a DLC expansion pack is some new locations and a few new missions either shoved into a story already told or tacked on to its ending. But Rockstar has a unique vision for Liberty City. What if Liberty City--as fully detailed and realized a city as you'll find in a videogame--were a platform itself? What if the LC were a template where new games could be inserted? While The Lost & Damned features the same gameplay mechanics and storytelling style of GTA IV, it is as close to a full new game as I've seen for "add-on content."

The Lost and Damned to take anywhere from 12-20 hours to complete. And that's just the single-player story. For $20 (1,600 MSP), L&D offers a full-fledged campaign, new locations, new mini-games (arm wrestling!), refined gameplay mechanics, new vehicles, new weapons, a hefty new soundtrack, new DJs, new TV shows, new Internet sites, and new multiplayer. One thing's for certain: Rockstar isn't dicking around with horse armor.

Curiously enough, it was The Lost And Damned's pack riding mechanic that we found most interesting, even if it feels largely superficial. When Johnny's riding with his crew in formation, The Lost's gang insignia will be emblazoned on the pavement. Ride on it and Johnny can get a health boost and spawn new strings of dialogue from fellow Lost members. It's a minor thing, but considering that we're mostly interested in seeing how Johnny's story line plays out, during our hour of gameplay, we thought it pretty cool.

The Lost And Damned's most obvious changes are new bullet point additions like new weapons, new vehicles, new interiors, and new radio, internet and television content. Johnny has access to weaponry previously unavailable to Niko, including an automatic 9 MM pistol, a sawed off shotgun, an assault shotgun, a grenade launcher and pipe bombs. You'll get access to the fun-to-fire grenade launcher in the mission "Action/Reaction," in which Johnny does serious damage to his rival's clubhouse, thanks to a stream of grenades.
Rockstar reps pointed out that some of the game's new music and radio chatter will be tailored to The Lost And Damned experience. That translates to new music for the game's rock, hardcore and metal radio stations and a little less so for the jazzier, more world beat stations.
There are even new mini-games (arm wrestling!) and still unannounced multiplayer additions on top of the already revealed changes, neither of which we got a chance to play during our hands on time.
