Ditto on both counts. If the pads have a LOT more bounce and are a lot quieter, I'll consider it. I'm a little disappointed there is no double bass pedal, especially with GH's tendency towards heavy music. Like anything else, if this is truly excellent I'll give it a look, but I'm pretty happy with the Rock Band experience, especially with all of the DLC. They'd better launch these peripherals separately from the beginning. I'd be pretty impressed if they sold a lot of copies at the RB price, with all of the people who already own RB and paid out a ton for DLC.

Re: Guitar Hero 4
Red Octane has also designed a new guitar that will “impact the way you play GH in the future”.
If there isn't some sort of single player band world tour mode, I will not buy it.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
If they trade that stupid, stupid strummer for a string of some knid, I'd get in on it. Otherwise every addition to the original GH guitar has been minor, including RB's changes. I really hope they don't put in any kind of a pedal. One of my least favorite things about the GH franchise is how they manufacture difficulty from sloppy or spontaneous techniques like pick sliding, string scraping and other noises. The pedal could fall right into this trap, because very, very few rock guitarists use a pedal with the precision that they play the rest of the song with.Comment

I'm torn on this... I really wanted to get Rock Band but I'm not so sure about it now. I really don't want to wait like 6 months though...Villanova Class of 2012

Re: Guitar Hero 4
I don't really care what new features or instruments they have, I just want a great setlist. I love the fact that they're all going to be master tracks.
I have read that some people think that all masters = a mediocre track list, but I disagree. GH is such a phenomenom that having one of your songs in the game can influence sales, even on older songs that have been out there for years.
It's in every band's best interest to have a great recording of their song in the game. I would guess that most would be willing to come in and recreate a new master recording if the original master is not available.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
The create-a-song feature seems like it would take forever. Is there anyway you could just share with others? Say I want "Angel of Death" and "Master of Puppets", could I use a note chart someone had already created, or has this info not been released yet? I'm already giddy for this game.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
I'm just hoping all of the instruments will be standalone at release, seeing the only one I would need is the new drum set. I'll be pissed if I have to shell out $180 and end up with another guitar and mic that I don't need.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
