Re: Guitar Hero 4
Guitar Hero to me means guitar. If I didn't know better, I'd say that the majority of people's favorite songs are normally not the heavy metal songs. In fact, even Metallica nuts' favorite Metallica song is One, that has a very nice light melody for the first four minutes.
We've seen a lot of heavy metal songs. I'd like to see some like the ones I created charts with (3 Doors Down, Alter Bridge, Jimmy Eat World... hell even Creed).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
NO Creed. God no. They need more country stuff. And not bastardized metal covers of country songs either.

Re: Guitar Hero 4
A year ago, this would have been exciting, but One is on GHIII, and Rock Band has Ride the Lightning, Blackened, Enter Sandman, and And Justice for All. I like Metallica, but my cup runneth over on virtual cover band songs for them. Even Master of Puppets sounds like more fun than it is, because that is a LONG song, lol. Not one you do lightly. Creeping Death is another one that is sexier in theory. The guitar in that song is extremely repetitive, and not something that would be fun on the guitar controller the way it is on a real guitar.
This was a weird move, just because there are already so many classic Metallica songs already available to play. I could see a DLC pack for this, but a whole game? Very strange.Comment

Guitar Hero should be about songs where the guitar stands out.
Not a single one of those bands you mentioned has anything that would 'wow' someone or even excite anyone in playing.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Personally, save the poppy crap for Rock Band. To me, Rock Band is more family oriented.

I mean, if The Killers, Pat Benatar, No Doubt, and The Strokes can get into a GH game, no reason that JEW, a band with talent, can't.Last edited by Hooe; 06-03-2008, 01:21 AM.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
I don't quite see how we're not allowed one Creed song, but instead we get bands like The Butthole Surfers. I think you guys can accept a few mellower songs for the first tier songs. I love Guitar Hero, but I swear, Juno was right... Sonic Youth is just noise. Kool Thing is the worst song I've ever played on a Guitar Hero game, ever. And they need to get better bonus songs as well.
And 3 Doors Down and Alter Bridge have great Guitar Hero songs. Here are three of my own created Alter Bridge charts. If you don't think these are half-decent, then I don't know what is.

Four Horsemen
Jump in the Fire
Seek and Destroy
Fade to Black
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Call of Ktulu
Battery
Master of Puppets
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Orion
Blackened
Harvester of Sorrow
Frayed Ends of Sanity
Enter Sandman
Wherever I May Roam
Unforgiven
Sad But True
King Nothing
Hero of the Day
And absolutely nothing off Reload or St. Anger. Both are garbage, but I'm sure there will be something anyway. The more they focus on the older stuff (I'd take the entire album for Master of Puppets), the better.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment
