I would love to have Alter Bridge. Also some Skid Row. I want songs that are fun to play and have some sort of melody and rhythm. The really fast and heavy stuff is okay but just not all that fun.

Re: Guitar Hero 4
The more I think about this game, the more I get pumped because of the custom song capability.
The idea of being able to play any song that someone creates excites me. You have to expect that within a month after release, people will have full albums of bands.
Bands like ACDC that most likely won't ever get a song in the game, will finally be playable. Instead of waiting for GH: Metallica to come out, someone can create it before it comes out.
I'll probably even get to play all of Coheed and Camrbia's content, which I desperately want to do (especially off their 2nd album "In Keeping Secrets").
Customizing (without needing a modded PS2/Xbox) takes this game to a whole new level. Only concern possible would be poorly charted songs, but I'm sure we'll be able to get plenty more great charted songs.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

The other thing is... how does it work? The instruments would need to be separated, you know what I mean? In Guitar Hero, when you miss notes, the guitar doesn't play, but the rest of the band keeps playing as well as the singer. How will we do that with our song files?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
The way it will work is that you are going to be inputting the notes yourself. It's not like you import a song. For example, you choose what note you want to map each fret on the guitar to, and then you place those notes on the fret board. So it will save each different track as a seperate file.
PS: A good place to get this information, if you guys don't already know about it, is www.scorehero.com, which is probably the best site you can find for all things guitar hero/rock band, and if it's anything like last year, they'll be getting a preview of the entire GH:WT game a couple of months before it comes out.Comment

So we're actually re-creating these songs ourselves? Does that mean there won't be any vocals? Does that also mean we can essentially create our own SONGS on here? Like, invent something completely new?

Yes, ScoreHero is where I'm registered and make note charts for. If you look in the Custom Songs section you'll find a thread with my note charts (my username on there is MuffinMcFluffin).

Re: Guitar Hero 4
I'm still kind of confused on custom songs and vocals. They said because of legal reasons, you can't record vocals. Does that mean you can't sing vocals when playing the song, or will there be no vocals at all when the song is being played.
I can live without being able to sing as long as when I'm playing guitar to the song, I can hear the vocals.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
Songs they listed so far (and videos I've seen of them for GH2). I have to think that Santeria would be a Level 1 song.

Re: Guitar Hero 4
I don't see why any other note charters realize that not all sustain notes go the full eighth. It makes it look weird, like you couldn't ever get all of the points of a song because you need some let go time.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
