Halo 3's campaign bored the **** out of me. Madden and practically every EA Sports title except for NHL 08. MLB 2K series went WAY down hill, and APF was nothing near what I initially expected. For those of you who think GTA IV is a disappointment, your definitely entitled to your opinions, but if you can't enjoy that game then I'd say most likely you will never be completely satisfied, OR that genre is just simply not for you.

Wrong I loved GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, so I love that genre, but I just hate GTA IV, it's so boring.

I guess I'm one of the few that reall liked NCAA football 2008, the only two things that bug me are no create-a-school (I'm all about customization, that's the main reason I hate GTA IV that and the Nazi cops that shoot you down in two seconds because you stole a car or whatever) and the depth chart glitch. Other than that I loved NCAA football and play it quite often still.

Or it received ratings that said it was the best game in the last 10 years. It's a top tier game, but I think the hype a little overshot the end result, especially given San Andres and Saints Row. I thought the story was just more of the same ridiculous over the top GTA story. I'd probably say it's my third favorite game on the 360, but I think the reviewers were a little caught up in the hype.

You're just GTA'ed out, dude. Personally, I had to take Vice City off; others took San Andreas off; you obviously needed to take IV off. At the end of the day all the games are pretty similar. It almost doesn't even make sense to say the other three were great and IV somehow isn't.

Believe me it's not that. If it had planes, parachutes, tattoos and haircuts, I'd be playing it almost non-stop. It's the lack of customization and the fact that I don't have XBOX live, from everything I hear on XBOX live it's so much fun, but single player is just so boring especially when you consider all the side stuff in San Andreas like better clothes, jewelry, pimping out cars, swimming underwater, bicycles, 4-wheelers just so much to do in that game besides the main story.

GTA IV is jumping cars (which I've never done on any of the GTA games), doing the main story lines (and all connected to it like Packie and all), shooting pigeons, and going on tons of man dates and a few female dates. The man dates have to be one of the most frustrating things ever in gaming for me.

For me personally it's not even games for me it is the 360 system failures, PS3 online gaming, and lastly how incomplete games are being released and later patched which has seemed to be the norm as of late. I thought paying $400 plus for these system was in return going to be gaming heaven but it has been just the opposite IMO. Peace!!!!

I couldn't agree more. The previous generation had it's fair share of winners and losers as well. Unfortunately, with the hardware woes the biggest loser this gen has been the consumer.

Last post was in 2008, wonder if anyone has new opinions on games for the past year or so.

For me right now since the last post my biggest let down was quantum of solace. Maybe I should have expected it though?

I thought Quantum of Solace was ok. How about Army of Two? That stunk. Also, while I really enjoyed Rainbow Six Vegas 2, it was not nearly as much of a leap forward as Vegas 1.

Battlefield Bad Company was another one. Ugh. Terrible single player experience. The AI was completely worthless.

Metal Gear Solid 4 I was disappointed because I couldn't take the character stiff movement anymore. Prior games OK but not I wanted more realistic movement for me.

I would have to say Saints Row 2. Thought it was pretty bad.

I never played the first one, but I thought SR2 was really fun. It reminded me of the last generation GTAs in that you could do all those little "odd-jobs" and what-not. I really liked the cartoon feel of the game too.

I am hoping that R* uses GTA4 as a basis for the other GTAs this generation. I really thought R* nailed everything regarding the world around the player such as the people, the tv/radio commercials and shows, and even the city itself - its like you were walking around in a real, breathing world. I agree with you that there seemed to be a lack of things to do - I kind of missed doing the "R3 missions" and all the **** GTA:SA had to offer, especially the car customization.
