I am about to give up on this game......I guess I should not have started with Apocalyptic. That worm boss is nearly impossible to defeat and I spent a good 40 minutes on him today with 3 energy viles on the side since I was getting my arse handed to me. It's those darn smaller worms. I have put in so much time already, I really don't feel like starting all over again.

Try this:

When you first start the fight keep dodging the giant worm until he starts moving in a straight line across the desert, when he does that then hit the metal shield on his face. He will then go under and summon those smaller worms, you then just run arround in circles on the outside of the desert locked onto the smaller worms while shooting them, save you dashes with Ruin until they get right on your tail, when the get close dash until your a decent space from them just dont get dash happy and waste them all. Once they are destroyed repeat, when the shield comes off you then do the exact same thing to the giant worm, you will everntually have to charge straight the worm with ruin and the tap B button thing will happen. Then watch and enjoy. Also if you can buy some Health regain crystals right before the fight, do it. There should be a merchant right before him to the right in the cave you come out of. If your low on souls just go harvest some by going through the worm holes and then come back when you get enough.

I harvested souls last night to get 3 Life crystals on reserve, and I lasted a good 40 minutes+ in the fight. It did not take him down. At this point I have taken on the baby worms like 3-4 times in a row. Should I charge him when he shoots up, wiggles around for a second or two and falls back into the ground? If it is, they don't make it apparent enough. I will try this one more time today and see if I can beat this pain in the you know what.

I harvested souls last night to get 3 Life crystals on reserve, and I lasted a good 40 minutes+ in the fight. It did not take him down. At this point I have taken on the baby worms like 3-4 times in a row. Should I charge him when he shoots up, wiggles around for a second or two and falls back into the ground? If it is, they don't make it apparent enough. I will try this one more time today and see if I can beat this pain in the you know what.

Remember to use your gun strictly after the shield comes off the worm. After shooting him with the gun into his mouth a couple of times he should get hurt and just lay on the ground, when that happens just charge him and hit the B button. The cutscene will happen. Candy, thanks again man. The thing is that I knew how to take his plate off and the strategy to kill him...............but the problem is that I am playing on Apocalyptic so it takes much longer to beat the bosses. They require a lot more. Thanks......I did beat this damn worm earlier in the morning, with my life bar in red and with one more hit I probably would have died.

Lol, no problem man, the hardest boss for me had to be that bat...-_-. Good 30 minute to 45 minute boss fight. Didnt know you could actually hit the bat after the punch thing comes up, lmao. Took me a whole day and a half to beat him.

The bat was hard too and probably my second hardest of this game so far. I spent more time though with that stupid worm, LOL! I was seriously going to give up after my last attempt. I figured I had all 4 vessels of Life filled and with me, and if I couldn't beat that worm with those too then there is a problem. I got lucky because I only had just very little life left when I killed it.

When I get frustrated with games, I turn them off, and typically don't go back.

Before we had our son, i'd play games through a few times, once on normal, and again on higher levels. I just have too many games and not enough time to play them now to be concerned with playing the same levels over and over again.

Case in point, I beat the Stygian on the first try, but it did take me down to almost no health when I started with 4 skulls. It was a challenge, but it was also fun.

I'm the type of person that likes a challenge, but also doesn't have all the time in the world to play games, so I don't want to repeat levels or bosses over and over. It has been just enough of a challenge for me to die a few times and think about what I have to do to survive, but easy enough that i'm not frustrated at all. When I get frustrated with games, I turn them off, and typically don't go back.

I'm the type of person that likes a challenge, but also doesn't have all the time in the world to play games, so I don't want to repeat levels or bosses over and over. It has been just enough of a challenge for me to die a few times and think about what I have to do to survive, but easy enough that i'm not frustrated at all. When I get frustrated with games, I turn them off, and typically don't go back.

I am at the tower what do i do to get all 3 beams i got 1 of them so far but how do i get all 3 to work? one of the paths leads me to the outside again?

Yeah but there are like 5 parts to do to get the beams to the guy. Might be easier to watch the Youtube playthroughs.
