FYI, the touchpad on the GHWT guitar touchpad doesnt work in RockBand at all

there is no cymbal "note" you just have to know whether to hit the cymbal or the drum, no penalty or anything for hitting one or the other.

Also when you do fills or play in freestyle mode the cymbals will sound like cymbals instead of the toms.

I'm going to cancel my order then. Thanks!

Just wandered in to Best Buy on the way this afternoon after work. I inquired about the cymbal pack, and the rep said he had the official Harmonix ones in the back. Asked if I wanted to see them, and I said sure. I asked him what the difference was between these and the Mad Katz ones and he said lets go check the computer. I said that's alright, I'll just take these. I looked on the back and lo and behold they were the Mad Katz cymbal double pack. Will try and set them up this evening.

They are the Mad Katz ones. Says so right on the back of the box.

After importing the songs from RB1 to RB2, is there any reason to keep RB1 (besides the 3 songs you can't import to RB2)?

I was thinking of getting rid of mine too. But what if RB3 comes out and you have to insert RB1 disc, then RB2 disc, to bring over your tracks.

HELP! I just picked up RB2 for the PS3. How do I import the RB1 songs to RB2? I did the part on the RB1 disc, but don't I have to pay $5 or something to move them over to RB2.

It should prompt you to purchase the transfer key before it actually exports the songs to your hard drive. I believe the option to export is under the Options menu. You have to be connected online to be able to do this, because it was added as a patch.

This doesn't make any sense. You already have exported the RB1 songs to your hard drive, so they're there for as long as you keep them there. If they're on your hard drive, there is no reason you would need the disc.

The key code you purchased for $5 was just for the right to export the RB1 songs to your hard drive. You won't need the RB1 disc to export songs RB2 songs to a RB3, provided that it is made down the road sometime. I'm sure it will be, but you never know, they could just add patches or something.

Got it. Thanks Mizzou. I actually had to go to the PlayStation Store to buy the key.

I'm ready to have some fun tonight with Rock Band 2!!

Now if I can just talk my pregnant wife into playing the guitar while I go to town on the drums tonight.
