    Re: Rock Band 2

Practice outside of the game. Do single stroke rolls(right/left/right/left etc..) while listening to a metronome. Set it about 120-150 BPM and do four taps for every one click(16th notes).

    1-ee-and-uh-2-ee-and-uh-3-ee-and-uh-4-ee-and-uh-1 etc...

It sounds like a lot of trouble, but people who play the song over and over end up pushing and straining and banging their heads against the wall. That can take weeks, even months. From my first attempt on Iron Maiden, it took exactly five half hour practices over the course of a week and a half to go from not being able to play it at all, to being able to beat it. Muscle memory develops really fast in your wrists and fingers.

The bonus is, after you do that, you'll be much better at the rest of the songs, and the coordination that comes from slow practice makes the game more fun to play. You'll be nailing things you've never practiced before, just because of that time put in.

Pro Tip: If you need to be quiet, practice on your leg.

Have any of you fellow 360 users installed this game to your hard drive? And if so, how much space does it take up and does it run noticeably smoother?

It's about 7GB for the 2nd game and I think it does run much smoother.

I think the install on RB2 was 6.5 GB to be exact. If you have any disc issues, obviously it will run better. What I like is that you don't have to listen to the whirring that you'd normally hear with a disc. I have since uninstalled for HDD space...I need a 120.

If they busted out some funk music for RB2, I'd be highly encouraged to see any theme song to any blaxploitation movie (Shaft, Dolemite, Black Belt Jones) or anything by the Lafayette Afro Rock Band and their albums "Soul Makossa" or "Malik."

You all might recognize the beats from these:

Were there any songs from Grand Funk Railroad on RB1?

I think I'm the only one in this thread with the Wii version, but I'm so jazzed. They're releasing the rest of the Boston stuff tomorrow for DLC! If I could have had my pick of any DLC it would be that.

Agreed. I popped in RB1 a few weeks ago just to play Sandman.

Why didn't it transfer? There were a few songs that didn't transfer from RB 1 to RB2 correct?

                            $$$$$$$

Licensing issues, pretty much (AKA - give me more money).

No songs worth worrying about, though. Enter Sandman (rather boring on guitar), Paranoid (again, boring), and I believe Run to the Hills (annoying to play anyway).
