I've been in the music business for about a decade now and that is precisely the reason why they re-record the tracks most times.

And I hope for all those that oppose re-recordings, I'd certainly hope you'd atleast give the songs a listen.
I'll give them a shot, but the last few re-records were terrible, the Papa Roach one for instance.

Maybe it's because I just don't understand, but why do you need the "master" to put it on Rock Band? Just use the CD that I have, and you're good to go. One of those things I just never understood.

they either have to use a master, re-recording, or cover. They can't use a mixed track of a CD, as they have to seperate the different instruments and vocals. This is so when you miss a note, you can hear it in the song you're playing.

It's probably so they can separate all of the instruments and such, you know what I mean? They need to be able to take control of everything, so say if you're playing guitar and you don't actually play any notes, it's only the guitar that is affected.

Also, they do seem to "re-master" it when you're playing a certain song, like it seems to emphasize your instrument more than any other. If you add any sort of effects with the guitar (chorus, echo, wah-wah, etc.), things are affected as well. I don't know if they can just "use the CD" and do this.

I know a song like "Souls of Black" is not the original. It's actually a little better than the original.

The thing is with these classic rock songs, we've heard them a billion times and if they sound off it's a big turn off.

                  Oh God, I hope not.

They do that "That's Not My Name" crap, right? I happened to hear that song on my little sister's iPod over the break, and I was almost ready to throw her dock at the wall when she kept looping the damn song just to annoy me.

LOL yeah that's them. The only reason why is because I like that little "guitar solo" during Shutup and Let Me Go. I'm thinking about getting this. But I was wondering, what's the difference between 1 and 2? The first one has a really cheap bundle. What would be the cons of getting the first instead of the second?

I think the vocal and guitar are on the same track with Tangled up in Blue. Is it just me or does the star power guitar effect work on the vocals too?

Well, I don't know if you can export the RB2 tracks onto RB1 for one thing. Everything else is probably just in aesthetics and what not, like RB2 probably looks a hint cleaner than RB1 and the like.

Also, you can't do Tour mode with bass guitar in RB1.

It's not specific to either game, it's universal.

No, but unfortunately the songs that use double bass aren't incorporated as such in the charts, so you don't get to take advantage of it.

I bet if you end up getting some high score on PSN and people find out about it, then they may call you out for cheating though.

                                How did you get it?
