Any tips on the drumming sections where it's just a ton of notes on the same color all in a row? The slower ones I can get a beat down, but those fast ones I can never seem to get through without some mistakes...

It's just a rhythm thing. You will get the hang of it eventually. Any songs in particular?

Yeah, I'll just keep playing...nothing in particular, a few songs just have that really fast yellow (or blue) section with a red thrown in on a certain beat. Just can't seem to hit that timing for the fast single note string but I'll keep at it. I don't think I get the timing right and end up off beat at some point...practice will make perfect.

Just got the weekly Rock Band Newsletter.

DLC for next week is the entire new Pearl Jam album. I haven't heard anything about it. Is it any good?

You're right. They should be more like GH and release brand new albums from bands that aren't as good as they used to be (see Oasis and Metallica)

Another first person shooter? We need user created indie games badly.

The thing about new albums being released for Rock Band is that the bands like it because its a great way to distribute/promote their new album.

One thing that helps me is to only use my wrists to bring down the sticks. I don't know if you are using your forearms but you should avoid it when you are trying to hit those type of notes.

It's easier for me to find the rhythm playing this way because you are using less motion in your your arms as a whole.

You have much more control also and its much easier on your stamina because you aren't constantly bringing your forearms up and down.

You probably already know this but a little reminder can help you realize any errors you may be making.

While Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands, I don't how I feel about the new album as DLC. I'd rather it be songs I know. If I like the album, maybe I'll get the DLC down the road.

I thought for sure that we would see some Alice in Chains DLC on the 29th when their new album comes out, since Would? is one of the few RB: Unplugged songs not in RB. Grunge bands as DLC 2 weeks in a row?

Hopefully it stays as rumor because that album is just blah. That band has gone down the tubes very fast.
