It would probably just add frustration to people who play on easy and medium.
Like I said, people sit too comfortably on Easy and Medium and this adds that challenge where it's not necessarily more challenging if you guys can just learn to slide your hand or use your pinky, lol. I'm not claiming people that can't do that are inferior, but I'm just saying that most people complain about it being too tough to go from Medium to Hard because of the orange button inclusion. Actually, it's because it's faster and there are more buttons. So the best way to get you going now is to add the orange button earlier.

I think this is a good idea. I don't know about Easy difficulty, but this is good with Medium. Remember, you can always turn on a no-fail mode if you really get that frustrated.

Blzer, I have a hell of a time trying to hit that orange fret........I am hoping that it's not over done on Medium, but enough to give us practice. Then maybe I can finally do better on Hard.

Maybe that's why it's on Easy to begin with. That way you have so few buttons to work with, and you can find out how to best work your way over there.

My advice? Snap off your pinky. Seriously, you don't need it to play this game, even on Expert. It's a nice "fall back" finger to use, but do not rely on it. You claim that you have trouble trying to hit the orange fret, so it sounds to me like you're reaching. The best way to go about it is shift your hand over. I'd have to post a video tutorial or something to best explain it, but basically you will shift over and then your ring finger can settle on Blue and Orange, your middle finger can do Yellow, and your index finger can do Red. When it's time to hit Green again, just shift back over.

Really, it's about improvisation and muscle-memory. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a guitarist, but this stuff comes second-nature. I mean you can watch me play a song on RB and sometimes you'll see my middle finger hit Red button with my ring finger hitting Blue at the same time, and the next time you see that Red-Blue chord it may be my index finger and my middle finger. There's no real "pattern" to solving this, it's just about hitting the buttons first and foremost. Whatever you have to do to hit them, even if it means using your pinky (I will sometimes to go from Green to Orange), it really does become pretty simple through practice.

Except the game prevents you from advancing with no-fail. At least it did with RB 2. It's automatic on easy with Green Day. There's people that play these games that have missing fingers or some sort of other physical problem with their hands. I've already seen comments from some about easy/medium not being available for a lot of songs/sets in tour mode. They could sing, play drums, try bass which is rare to have chords even on expert or learn lefty flip but I don't think they should be forced to switch.

I would love to see another Blzer instructional video when you have time on this. I always screw it up no matter what I try.

Yep Me too. I was tryin yesterday and having a tough time with the orange button on harder songs. I've got it down to my pinky finger but it's not always a sure thing. If I can learn/see how sliding works I may start practicing that.

I won't buy it but I bet it's a huge seller for people with kids.

I'll gladly take 4-5 months of meh DLC if it means getting to RB3. Not to mention, we still have stuff coming down the pike through RBN.

Plus, I decided last night that I'm gonna try and play every song that I have between now and RB3 release (it's around 720+ songs) and see if I can 5 star/gold star them all. That'll take up plenty of time without me worrying about new songs.
