I wasn't expecting RBN releases to ever upstage the offical HMX DLC but it sure will next week,most likely anyway,unless there's a delay or something never with the RBN stuff but Creed AND The Tragically Hip are imminent.

Ozzy Osbourne DLC Coming to Rock Band Next Week

According to Rolling Stone, a six track DLC pack of Ozzy Osbourne tunes is due to hit the Rock Band Store next week, offering a preview of three tracks from his latest album, Scream, an entire week ahead of its 22nd June release date.

Lead single from the forthcoming album, "Let Me Hear You Scream" joins "Soul Sucker" and "Diggin' Me Down" as the three new tracks, while the remaining three are taken from the Ozzy back catalogue.

"I hope Rock Band players around the world are ready to have their living rooms invaded by me!" said the Brummy Prince of Darkness himself.

Here's the complete six track list:

Ozzy Osbourne Pack 01

* "Crazy Babies"
* "Diggin’ Me Down"
* "I Dont Wanna Stop"
* "Let Me Hear You Scream"
* "No More Tears"
* "Soul Sucker"

The Ozzy Osbourne Pack is due for release on the Rock Band Store on June 15th.

I already mentioned it'd be up this week earlier so too late for that.
Tragically Hip up as well and another Seether song. This seems backwards,this should be the offical DLC and the offical DLC should be on RBN.

What a terrible,terrible Ozzy pack that is.

I only have PS3, did they spare us with this song or are only 360 owners going to have access to it?

And don't get me wrong, I don't like Creed all that much. I do like a few of their songs (Higher would be near the top of the list but there are better ones), but what I kind of minded was everyone here practically boycotting the band from making an appearance in the game. It's not like we haven't had other crap music spew out weekly, so why not just give some fans of Creed a shot at having a few of their songs in the game? It's not the end of the world and Scott Stapp (who I despise) will not be making an in-game appearance.

As long as it's not a re-record, I think that will be best for all of us. I'm really hoping for Hide to make it to RBN as well.

If it just came out today on 360, we're not eligible to get it until July 7th. Based on Creed's mainstream success, I would consider it a near guarantee that it makes it over to us.

Higher isn't a re-record,the drums sound a bit messed but they're like that in two of the Disturbed songs as well so whatever happend there even happens with offical DLC and the bass is for sure turned up a few notches more than it is on the CD.

The Seether song is Fake It but isn't actually up,I mis-read,it just passed inspection so it'll be up soon.

Exodus has a song up. That was the band Kirk Hammet was in before Metallica,don't get too excited he never played on their studio albums + the song is from 2007.

Well here's some possibly bad news for some people,this is from the RBN creators section:

As part of our ongoing authoring evolution, we are announcing new authoring standards today. Any songs that get submitted from now on will need to adhere to the new standards. The website pipeline has been updated, and you should get an automatic update to Magma as well which will properly compile the new songs to meet the standard.

The new standards require that the gem colors (lanes) which are present in Expert are also present in all other difficulties. For most songs, this means that we will require at least one gem color for every color in Medium and Easy.

There might be rare cases where you use less than the full set of gems (or lanes) in Expert. In these cases you would be restricted to the same set of colors in the other difficulties. In other words, in Medium and Easy there should be at least one gem in each lane used in Expert level.

Easy and Medium, in general, should be no harder to play than they were before. There are specific guidelines for difficulty authoring on the individual authoring pages for guitar and drums.

In addition, we have reworked the Reaper Templates (for both PC and Mac) to include the MIDI notes for Medium and Easy, and updated The Future Soon sample song to adhere to the new standards.

Songs which are currently in process will continue. However, any new song versions, whether for Playtest or Peer Review, will need to meet the new standards.

Translation: blue & orange on easy/medium now. Not sure how they can possibly keep it as easy as it is to play now.

It may have to do with a specific way that they have to do all RB DLC after RB3 comes out, perhaps so it properly translates into Pro mode or something. I really have no idea, but it's more than likely a push to get people better at the game, earlier. It probably makes for an easier transition to Hard and Expert when all is said and done, as the Medium to Hard transition is seemingly toughest for most people.

well that stinks for me. I have enough trouble doing medium. I have problems trying to play 2 notes at the same time that are not next to each other.

Yeah that seems kind of pointless...not sure what they're trying to accomplish. If it's to encourage people to move up in difficulty, I can kind of understand that, but if you want the challenge, I think you would probably just move up to hard or expert on your own. It would probably just add frustration to people who play on easy and medium.
