At the end of this vid when it's in freestyle mode, you'll see that the select button allows you to choose what kind of drum kit you want to hear. That's pretty cool.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
I watched that video earlier but didn't catch that. Nice find.
I really can't wait for September 14th. I'm making sure I'm off the 14th/15th/16th so I can play this nonstop.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Love that the RB1 songs transfer over, just curious on which ones don't.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
^^No, that is a perfectly valid point. With the cymbal attachments, rolls could potentially go: RRRR, YYYY, BBBB, GGGG, B(splash!)
Especially if as they said, the pads are all snare/toms and the cymbals make cymbal sounds during the freestyle mode and fills. That's a very good point.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Rock Band 2
Freestyle Mode – Just as it sounds. You’re presented with a blank, scrolling note canvas that allows you to just drum away forever. No challenges here. But like with the other modes, you can select different drum samples. So if you dig 80’s electronic drum sounds - and wanted to try and re-create your own cover of a certain Rick Astley song - no one will stop you. Interestingly enough, you can also play music from your hard drive to drum along with.
The trainer is neat and all, but drums aren't hard for me. Playing Expert guitar for the last few songs is. I just can't keep up with all the HO/PO's I wish they had a guitar trainer too, for at least advanced things.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: Rock Band 2
Great news for 360 users:
"Would this mean that I would still have to fear "Green Grass and High Tides" appearing in a mystery set list? So I asked: could I not import the offending track into my Rock Band 2 library?
"You could port it over and delete it from your memory," Harmonix's John Drake told me, "like you manage every other song from downloadable content."
While Harmonix aren't willing to commit and say what songs will carry over, Drake did promise it would be a good handful, saying it would be "more than 50.""
So 51? Guess it would be the 7 covers that go.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
Same here (atleast on disc) but that bad boy will forever stay because I will beat that damn song. I refuse to give up. Not to mention, I just like the song. Too bad we won't get a master.
But overall, I've passed 102 of 110. Only 8 I haven't...
1. Green Grass and High Tides
2. Constant Motion
3. Snow ((Hey Oh))
4. Sleepwalker
5. BYOB
6. Thrasher
7. Aesthetics of Hate
8. Ride the LightningOriginally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Rock Band 2
Songs I haven't passed (all DLC):
-Blackened
-Devour
-Snow ((Hey Oh))
-Aesthetics of Hate (haven't really tried it)
I could beat Devour, and probably Blackened, but I hate playing them. Snow is just stupid and not fun.Villanova Class of 2012
