They said that the 20 free DLC would be released shortly after the release of RB2, not immediately.
Since PS3 users aren't getting the game until October, I'd imagine it will be closer to then before we see it. It's actually smart because not only do you release it so every platform can play it, BUT more important that it comes out right around the time GHWT is released. Doing that would certainly take some buzz out of that game.
However, I fully expect us to still get 15-20 DLC that we can buy, just like at the release of RB1. Possibly Moving Pictures, Offspring 3 pack, another three pack and probably 6 random singles.Originally posted by CardsFan27What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

I can't wait to do this. This is why I'd like to form a couple of OS bands and try and compete against each other and the rest of the world.Between now and the end of the launch week, we have 19 battles opening! My picks are below.
* Did you somehow luck into getting a copy of the game before it launches on the 14th, and want to celebrate? In that case, you should jump into the "Late Night Rock Band Bash" on Friday - a Star battle with Pump it Up, The Middle, and Lump, all with no fail enabled.
* On Sunday from 12am to 9am, the "Break of Dawn Battle" goes live. Compete in the first official Rock Band 2 battle to prove that you're hardcore! The cool thing about this is that every band has a battle history, so by playing this battle you're essentially getting a badge of honor in your "Battle History" list to show that you were there not just on Day 1, but at the midnight launch.
* If you need your beauty sleep, you'll also have the "Launch Day Battle" and the "Rock Band 2 Week Battle" that you can compete in during the day or week, respectively.

We want to make sure that the Rock Band 2 Live Team is making the battles you want to play, so definitely leave your ideas for cool battles in the comments of these posts. Some cool future battles for inspiration:
- A "Stalker" battle with "One Way Or Another" by Blondie
- A "History of Metal" battle, with one metal song from each decade

Still no word on what the 20 songs are BUT...
From Ren's instruction manuel(back of the book):
BONUS Downloadable TRACKS
If you have an internet connection and an Xbox LIVE account , you can Download 20 BONUS songs to your Xbox 360. Go to http://www.rockband.com/bonustracks and enter the registration code shown below along with a valid email address. When the tracks are available , you will recieve a token via email that will allow you to download 20 additional songs for Rock Band 2.
When you recieve the token:
1. Log into Xbox LIVE with your gamer profile.
2. Access Xbox LIVE marketplace through the Xbox 360 dashboard
3. Click "redeem code".
4. Enter the Xbox LIVE marketplace token from the email when prompted.
