    Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)

Anyone know of any good sites that have guides on the power trees/weapons regarding to upgrades/points?

For now I'm just going to go with what seems cool to my character, but with MMO's it's always nice to learn a bit more about everything.

This is a great change of pace from WoW though! It feels like a regular action game, I'm enjoying what little I played and can't wait to play more tonight.

I was looking too, but haven't had much luck as of yet. I agree with you that this is a nice change of pace from WoW. I don't find the levelling to be a huge grind and it's fast paced and fun

I got Oysris to level 10 last night and heat vision!!! I then played as Skydive, my Batman inspired character and got him to level 7 after saving Batwoman against Scarecrow. I died about 3 times getting poisoned by those stupid thugs.

The Scarecrow fight was loong. Between the dumb crows, the hallucinations, and the fight itself, it was a little rough considering I didn't have great gear

Who's going to tank in our group? It will determine who I'll focus on levelling first

More of a lurker than a poster on here, but...

ShadowDevil (Controller - Batman inspired) on Birthright
SynStar (Brawler - Superman inspired) on Birthright

First time playing a MMO and have really enjoyed it.

I doubt it's possible to truly screw up your character. I may roll a new one, want to do gadgets too...so many fun options!

May do a fire or ice tank too. Can't decide lol

I think I have figured out the mic thing. You must start the game with your mic already plugged in or it won't work.

Well mine was already plugged in when I turned on my PS3 & booted up DCUO but I've yet to hear anyone, even you today. I am glad that at least you could hear me but it really blows that I can't hear others.

BTW thanks for helping me get level 8 bro, even though there was no voice communication it was very fun. After you left (nice looking Hero btw) I stayed and am very close to lvl 9 (few kills or so).

I'll be jumping back on in an hour or so, I'm level 15 so if some lower level people need help I'll be available.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I cant get enough of this game. Started off just mashing buttons like most brawlers and was having a good time, but then started to realize how deep the combat system was. Interrupts, Blocks, Breaks, Grounding, Lunges, Breakouts etc....very easy in theory to learn, very complicated to master.

Rolled on a pvp server and am having the time of my life, regardless of getting ganked by a lvl 30 when Im lvl 5 etc. Having to scale walls, fly through the air and still have to worry about seeing red dots around gets the veins pumping.

Hit lvl 30 on a pve server and even though I had fun, it wasnt thrilling. Rolled on a pvp server and its nonstop pandemonium.

This is my sleeper hit already. I heard it was coming, but figured it would be like CoH and I didnt like that one at all. This has blown me away with all the different specs, abilities, loadouts, instances, boss fights etc.

Even the achiev system rocks. For every 100 achiev points you get, you get 1 extra skill point. This makes achievs worth going for instead of like every other game that just keeps track of them and assigns meaningless points to it.

                              A+++ game.

I've had a bad night. Started off hitting level 9 with Skydive and died a zillion times on Bane. Note to self - bring more Soder Colas. I ran our during the instance...
