Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
I rented it a week ago..I just couldn't get into it personally...it felt way too linear. Can't wait for B:AA 2 though..I think it will be amazing. A lot less linear since it doesn't seem to be in the corridors of Arkham AsylumComment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Non-linear games are overrated in my opinion.
Linear games that kick major ***: Batman: AA, Bayonetta, Dragon Age: Origins, All the good FPS(Halo,COD). etc."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
I thought Arkham Asylum striked a nice balance between linear and openworld. It had an "openness" feel to it with the grounds around Arkham acting like a pseudo-overworld. It never felt like I was constantly being funneled down a tube, and I hope the sequel is the same.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Super late to the party, but I finally picked this up yesterday and played for a couple hours.
Definitely enjoying it...surprised this game flew under my radar for so long.
I do have one minor complaint, though. Once you discover "detective mode" you pretty much use it 90% of the time...I kind of have to force myself to play with it off, and actually appreciate the visuals.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Same here, but I would welcome some kind of restraint on detective mode. Maybe a time limit or something similar.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Or not force you to rely on it as much...when you have a bunch of guys you have to take out using stealth, it's just easier to have Detective Mode on so you can easily see where they're at...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Yeah, that too. I wouldn't mind if they didn't let you see through walls - or at the very least make the enemies blurry when they're behind obstacles.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Exactly...you just see so much with Detective mode that even though the visuals aren't as cool I'd just keep it on. I'd hate having it off and accidently screw up and have to spend 20 minutes on a tough takedown.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
it would be cool in AA2 that during a fight in the beginning of the game it gets damaged and u can't use it no longer and would have to rely on pure stealth. then if the batjet or batmobile it could give you an idea of how many enemies in a building but you would still have to find them and beat up enemies for info. during the game they would give you miss info and you'll get ambushedComment
