I might rent this first. The first Godfather wasnt boring as much as it was reptitious. We'll see what people think of GF II

I haven't heard that,but it might be possible. The EB where my brother works got their shipment in on Tuesday. So I know that they have them.

I got it directly from the don,never ask me about my bussiness!
J/K I got it from a local rental store and I did reply to the PM,dunno why it didn't go through.

It gets pretty annoying as of FLA.
The FLA families can attack your NY bussiness.
Your family guys get to instantly warp to and from places so I sent one.
He failed.
I had to fly all the way the heck back to NY myself and take the place back.
To get them to stop attacking your places you have to take out their made men.
To take out their made men you have to do favors for random people.
After doing a favor in FLA the guy had to take out was back in NY so I had to go back there again!
One step from the airport doors a NY place is attacked and I have to turn around and go clear that out.
Back to FLA to start taking down places.
In the middle of taking a place down,had just cut the power,one of my FLA places gets attacked. I now have to stop what I started and send my best guy over. Because it'd be silly to take the place over without my best guy I end up just waiting around on the roof,chatting with my other 2 guys,I eventually realize I might as well send them over. Now I'm waiting on the roof of this place for 2-5 mins while that's handled. This happend 3 more times and I was left waiting on the roof/corner for my guys to get back.

Then another time I sent my Capo to take over a place. I eventually joined him and for some reason there was nothing done to the place. I found my guy at some point but it appeared nothing had actually been done,the doors to blow up weren't blown up and he was a demolition guy.

The favors aren't a bad idea but they're so repetitive. The first girl asked me to smash up a competitor's business. Appliance King. The next asked me to smash up a bussiness his wife got in the divorice. Appliance King. The next asked me to smash up a place he owns for an issuance scam. Appilance King. Then I'm asked to smah up a place to scare the owner so he knows bad guys come around,Appliance King. Apprently the same store (wich I actually own) is owned by 4-8 different people who all want it smashed for 5 different reasons (the reasons can repeat too).

Other than that rediculousness it's pretty good.

Sheesh this game sounds frustrating on so many levels. I think i'll have to rent first. I had to laugh about your flights to NY all the time though.

Can't even imagine how bad it could be after opening up Cuba. A lot of the other stuff works well though,like recruiting and all that. I wonder if this will end up in contraversy too or if because it's based on a movie will be overlooked. The strippers/hookers you can kill in this are actually half naked,well 3/4 naked if you want to get technical about it. Executions are nice too. There's a theatre in FLA that says it's showing The Godfather and has the posters up.

I did enjoy the hitman type stuff taking out the made men in the specific ways even if some are odd,like throwing a glass bottle at a guy apprently killed him for good where a bullet to the head wouldn't have.

I can't wait for this game, I really hope it turned out good. Your impressions kind of scare me though about some parts of this game.

I think the good outweighs the bad but that could change with Cuba,I only got about half way through FLA. Forgot to mention I liked the style and music too.

It can be really fun when you're actually taking the place over instead of sitting on the roof waiting for your guys. You COULD go in by yourself I just didn't think it was smart strategy. Wich also reminds me I forgot to mention your partner AI is pretty decent,not CoD 4 good but acceptable and a lot better than it is in most games where they're just inept.

One thing that boggles my mind is that how hush-hush EA has been about this game. I enjoyed the first one immensely as it was a lot of fun. All the side missions and even main missions all had to do with the premise of the game which is what sucked me in, unlike other open world games that have off the wall mission structures.

There isn't any missions in this. You just need to take over all the rackets/crime rings then blow up the headquaters. Unless you want to count the favors as missions but those are all optional,they just make things a lot easier.

It sounds like EA was going for a more accessible title this time around.
