Godfather II takes hit out on April 7
As promised, living room mobsters will have to wait a while longer before pounding the streets as the Don. Electronic Arts announced that Godfather II will now ship in North America on April 7, with Europe getting the game later that week on April 10. First revealed in 2007, the sequel was expected to ship for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on February 24, however it was pushed back earlier this month in order to generate more buzz around the game's release.
Thanks for the heads up EA, though we've circled the new release date on our calendars in pencil. You know, just in case you want to feed the hype machine some more, or if the economy takes out another hit on your bottom line.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Don Control multiplayer for Godfather II
Electronic Arts has announced that it will add an extra multiplayer mode to The Godfather II in a free update when the game launches on April 10th.
Don Control "takes the 'Think Like a Don' strategic gameplay into an online environment and allows players to build a family, command them in battle and view the action from a bird's eye view," says the press release.
The mode sounds like a form of real-time strategy, and supports 16 players. You'll be fighting for your currency from the single-player game, and can recruit other players to join your family for a cut of the profits.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Godfather:Part II
I am getting anxious for this game to drop. I enjoyed the first GF. Not sure how I feel about the 60's Miami era setting though.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Godfather:Part II
Of course you can't
Only review I've seen was in OXM, got a 7.5, said it was boring to play. My interest isn't very high for this one any longer with the other titles that have come out lately. Look forward to impressions though.Comment

Re: Godfather:Part II
A lot of people found the 1st boring but it was fun to me. As CB mentioned, I'm not sold on the 1960s though either.Comment

Re: Godfather:Part II
Yeah the first game was "dry" but I wouldn't say boring. I think the 1960a Miami scene can work as it's a good throwback and there's a lot of the Cuban/Latin thing going on there but with a more gritty reality then the whole 1980s Miami thing which was a little more glossed up (in popular culture)Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
