Trust me, if you are playing this game right now and you dont live in France you are going to get looked at pretty hard. I hope the ban hammer comes down with great force on all these peeps bootlegging these games. From what I read only 100 copies were sold early and it was at a store somewhere in France, so if you are a guy who lives in Detroit and you are playing this game, the only logical way you are doing it is if you illegally ripped this game from a torrent or p2p.

Halo 3: ODST – Death Comes to All of Us
Halo 3: ODST is coming September 22, but the hype has been rolling for quite a bit longer. And so comes a new tease. This one, though, doesn't come from Bungie or Microsoft. It comes from us. That's right, we're the jerks yanking your chain now.
Tomorrow morning, at 10am PST, we'll have something very special for you to check out. What could it be? All we can offer is the image below.
I'm guessing it's an Ad for Halo 3: ODSTGo Noles!!! >>----->Comment

The Spectacular, Halo-Filled Bungie Studios Lobby
It's full of Halo statues, Bungie awards and some commemorative alcohol. It's the Bungie Studios lobby, shot during Kotaku's visit to the studio yesterday, before the cops came, and before I tried more Halo 3: ODST.
Thanks to Bungie community director Brian Jarrard for showing me and the readers around with this video. Shame on former Kotaku writer Luke Smith, now a Bungie employee, for refusing to serve as the host. Luke said I could call him out. Consider it done.
Impressive place, no? And to think that Bungie is moving out of these digs in Kirkland, Washington. A new, larger headquarters is under construction.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo 3: ODST
Yes, in the hub world (New Mombasa), but there's no side-quests. Some of the exploration is a game mechanic of clue-finding, because this is a mystery story. Those clues will trigger flashbacks to earlier events where you will jump into the shoes of another ODST. Your free to explore the huge covenant patrolled hub world for things like audio logs (which there's 20 or so) and tackle the beacons (missions) in order you like after the first one or two. I'm sure there will be secrets too, because all the Halo games have had them.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Police Swarm To Bungie On Weapons Call During Kotaku Visit
A report of a person with an assault weapon walking near Bungie Studios, sent a team of police swarming to the Kirkland, Washington studio yesterday afternoon.
The incident turned out to be a misunderstanding and a surprise interruption of what was supposed to be a less eventful visit by your deputy editor to play some Halo 3: ODST.
The person who had thought they'd seen a gunman in the neighborhood had actually seen a Bungie employee carrying a replica Halo rifle back to the studio's offices, Bungie community director Brian Jarrard told me.Approximately eight police cars responded to the call, closing in on the parking lot adjacent to Bungie's offices. According to Jarrard, a SWAT team was also called in, though they never entered the Bungie offices. What the witness had seen however, was not a real gun but a prop Halo gun. It was a replica of the sniper rifle used in the series by the UNSC forces, built for the live-action video shorts directed by District 9 filmmaker Neill Blomkamp a couple of years ago. Someone from Bungie was transporting the replica gun back to the offices when they were mistaken for a neighborhood threat.
The police weren't allowing people into the lobby, ordering Bungie developers to stay in their big development room. By the time I was able to get out of the conference room, the police were gone. They had recommended to Bungie personnel that, next time, the replica would be better carried covered up, so as not to cause alarm.
For one last perspective, here's me holding the rifle.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo 3: ODST
2 Questions...
1. Is it too late to pre-order this and get the free maps and the Sargent Johnson head?
2. If I pre-order this from Best-Buy will I get the free maps and Sargent Johnson head?
I don't really care about the Sargent Johnson head but I do want those maps, so I won't get screwed over and not be able to play ranked slayer like Halo 3... I'm still mad about that..."Solutions rarely come from the same minds as people who cause the problems"Comment

Re: Halo 3: ODST
A week ago I was in Gamestop and the employee was "pimpin' " Halo 3: ODST trying to get me to pre-order. He said something about some free maps I would receive if I pre-ordered the game...
What was that all about? Was the guy uninformed or was he trying pull a fast one on me (Like most Gamestop employees do)?"Solutions rarely come from the same minds as people who cause the problems"Comment

Re: Halo 3: ODST
I could be wrong but I think there are three new maps for ODST that you'd get without a pre-order.Comment

Re: Halo 3: ODST
Aren't there some extra maps though(besides the Mythic Map Pack)?
