I dont know what that video is about but I guess the next video will be Pardon our Dust? Or maybe they are making like a Expansion to the Halo 3 Campaign from the Marine side or things? Who knows, there are lots of speculation right now.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Bungie's New Game
Also, I think it's pretty clear that it's going to feature the ODSTs. So either way that should be cool.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Bungie's New Game
Why not prequel Halo 1 and use MC and a team of Spartans like it originally was in the books.
Helljumper troops are cool but they are no where near as bad *** as a team of Spartans.Comment

Re: Bungie's New Game
my guess would be because they want to save that for a stand-alone game in the future.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Bungie's New Game
so I went by the bungie.net forums to see what the people over there thought of the video and there's some interesting theories.
However I think after reading all of them it makes the most sense that this will be a add-on campaign to Halo 3. It will be a tactical shooter with the ODST. In one of the shots of the city, you can clearly see the words "CITY OF NEW MOMBASA" meaning it would have to take place before Halo 3 so my guess would be that it's set in "Halo 2.5" as a prologue to Halo 3 as well as a stand-alone ODST tactical shooter sometime in the distant future.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Bungie's New Game
Yeah, all signs point to a campaign expansion with ODST. There is also a date on the video stating 01/06/09, which is a tuesday..hmmm
I'm excited for this, it should be pretty awesome.Comment

Re: Bungie's New Game
I would think the IGN editors would know that Bungie has 3 distinct projects in the works with one of them being a new IP.
Anyways, this is an excellent breakdown of the teaser.

At the end he states something interesting about the date found in the code at the end of the trailer in that it could mean 1/6/09 or 6/1/09. If it's 6/1/09 then I would have to believe that this would be a stand-alone game. Either way, it's all sounding pretty sweet and I cannot wait to get some more info on it.Lux y VeritasComment

EDGE
Microsoft Game Studios head Phil Spencer told Edge on Wednesday that the firm has added a "group of industry heavy hitters" to its lineup, including former Kojima Productions assistant producer Ryan Payton, confirming recent rumors.
Payton was assistant producer on the recently-released Metal Gear Solid 4, playing a role in injecting Western design elements into the decidedly Japanese series. He also aided in the actual design of Metal Gear Online and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops.
To gamers, he's best known as a Western liaison for Tokyo, Japan-based Konami subsidiary Kojima Productions, the studio behind Metal Gear.
Payton left Kojima Productions for Washington State due to family-related issues earlier this year.
Payton is rumored to be directing a new Halo project, although a Microsoft rep would not confirm that information.
The rep only stated, "The team is working on upcoming and existing Halo games."
Also confirmed to be joining MGS is programming ace Corrine Yu, formerly of Gearbox Software, and her husband, artist Kenneth Scott of Doom house id Software.
Microsoft also confirmed that David Wu, former tech director at Full Auto developer Pseudo Interactive, and ex-Bungie content manager Frank O'Connor are also on Microsoft's Halo team.
Spencer said in a statement, "Microsoft Game Studios is thrilled to have such talented people working to develop new and exciting projects within the Halo universe and supporting existing projects from studios like Bungie and Ensemble."
Ensemble is currently developing Halo Wars, which will be the studio's final game before Microsoft shutters the developer.
The confirmation of the hirings comes days before the Tokyo Game Show, where, according to the Microsoft rep, Halo house Bungie will be making a major announcement regarding the recently-released Halo teaser video.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
