New teaser trailer got me hyped. While CG, I hope it's an indication of the look and atmosphere Bungie will be going for.

Because its Bungie and they can do that. :P And they never announced yet about the FPS or TPS. At least I havent heard anything. Also how many here think that a book will be release explaining more about the ODST and the characters you interact with in this game?

a full game? I'd say there's no chance.

As for the game itself, I don't know if I'm more hyped for Gears 2, Left 4 Dead or this game. I am just thankful that we finally have so many awesome shooters to choose from.

Flawless, I'd say that art style and atmosphere is the direction they're heading with the game. The box art in the picture you posted above, to me, just confirms that theory and I think it's going to be sweet.

just a thought but now that the name of the game is known, perhaps we could get a mod to change the title of the thread to "Halo 3: Recon"

Anyways, I can't believe I am going to say this BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, I hope the Flood are in this game.

Playing Halos never really made me afraid of the flood because he was so strong and could recharge health. Maybe this game could get an Aliens thing going? Hell, have the flood take over dogs or indigenous african wildlife and come at me.

It could be pretty cool walking through a dark building with some other marines and have an infected leopard come after me.

Well technically the flood are not on earth until Halo 3. I think this game will start when the Chief make the jump with the Covendant Cruiser to Delta Halo. So the Flood will only be in this if the game goes up to Halo 3 when the chief goes back to New Mabassa and the flood ship transports there. If that happens then your ODST or ODST's would be there during the Elite Uprising, the Elite Alliance and maybe before the Elites stop fighting for the Covendant.


IMO I think you will see the Flood, you will fight Elites and fight with Elites. You will have a mission about investigating the Ark. I think its going to be very interesting. I also dont thing think the ODST will be alone. At the beginning of the video you see all the UNSC Drop Pods fall from the sky into the city, however you also see about 12 or 13 break away from the others and look to be heading to the outskirts of the city. Then you see the explosion which IMO is the Covendant Cruiser making a jump in the city, from Halo2 when ya take out the scarab. After that the city looks ruined and who knows what happens the the rest of the pods in the city. Some could still be intact but more than likely most of them got whiped out. Now the others that broke of from the pack have alot more likely chance of surviving. I have a feeling you will meet up with them.

this won't come out until next year. We already know MS feels digital distribution is their next thing, so who knows if MS feels to move more towards that soon. The PS3 already does it for a few games, and XBL is set up better as a network for that. MS already provides digital copies of Xbox originals, with some being as big as 6 gigs.

The PS3 already does it for a few games, and XBL is set up better as a network for that. MS already provides digital copies of Xbox originals, with some being as big as 6 gigs.

I'm aware of all of that, and I find it funny that as much as MS pushes Live that there isn't digital distribution in the form of full games yet.

Still, I'm skeptical it'll happen for this game.
