Just a quick heads up if anyone new to the game gets the DLC right off the bat....Don't play through Edy's mission until you've beaten the game. It hints at a major mid-game plot point early on in the mission, and blows it wide open during the ending. Spoiler ahead (not of the DLC, but of the main plot - if you've beaten it feel free to read):

This mission apparently happened shortly after the Marberry shore mission, and all the squad members are still feeling Isara's death.

There's more to the mission than at first glance, and it is very tough. I beat it, but had an awful run, losing 3 of the 6 squad members during the fight. Definitely going to be looking at improving that - there's a bit of replay value in this because of the challenge.

So, for those of you who have played Selvaria's mission....

Have you been able to push back the Gallians on the left side of the map? I ask because that gasbag Damon is over there, and I'd like nothing more than to send a lancer shot right through his tank. Problem is, they get reinforcements, and fast - lots of them. I've tried it several times and I just don't see any way to do it with the limited troops you have. Plus, because of the way the map is laid out it appears you can't get Selvaria over there - probably by design since it'd be too easy.

I know how to beat the mission, but I was just wondering if this was even possible.

Necro-bump for a necro-bump in sales - Valkyria sold big in April, and Sega attributes much of it to the game's loyal following:

It's this kind of thing that can get you hopeful for a sequel...

Being the proud owner of one now is good for me, but it's kinda disappointing it's not going to be a PS3 game. Still hope it makes its way over here, though!

Valkyria Chronicles didn't sell that much.. that's why VC2 is on the PSP. But I read an article that they may not be done with VC on PS3.

I didn't even buy it yet. You guys recommend I buy it?

Yes, if you can find a copy. I think they're going for $20 (worth $60 if you ask me) new at Gamestop. Walmart, Target etc don't even carry it any more but some Gamestops will get in a copy every now and then. Took me 2 weeks and like 5 stores to find a copy.

VC is one of the better games released on PS3. As for sales its jsut like Yakuza in the US, little to no marketing was done for this game, the only thing it had going for it was word-of-mouth going around about it.
