Finished the game tonight on Hard and it was a blast for the most part. I really love a game that can tell a good story and still deliver where it counts the most with the gameplay and Uncharted 2 really did that. I may go back and try and get the rest of the trophies that I missed out on during my first play through but Im going to be taking an extra long break before I dive in and try and beat it on crushing difficulty.

Strange question for anyone that has beaten the game. I had assumed that once I beat it I could go back and pick and choose which chapters I wanted to play, instead of playing through the entire game again. Ive asked quite a few people who all say you can do this yet the option to pick a chapter is gone even though Ive beaten the game on the hard difficulty. When I first beat it the game showed it but when I clicked on it I was only given the option to play chapter 1 and couldnt select anything else, now the option isnt even there anymore. Anybody have a clue whats going on and how to select which chapter I want to play?

I'll have to check. I read this somewhere earlier in the thread. I think you can only play the individual chapters on the difficulty setting you beat the game on. Don't know if that helps or not. I'll check later.

I hardly do either, I have NCAA, The Show and GTA1V. That's it, that's about to change though with Uncharted, it's got good Online I hear too. Definte pickup.

You guys should play Uncharted first, then play Uncharted 2. You'll understand things better and will give you an overall better experience with the 2nd IMO.

I just finished this yesterday and it was amazing.

Every developer looking to make a "story" oriented game should be required to play this. Aside from maybe Bioshock it easily had the best mix of story and gameplay in a game I've played.

However, I must note that it is sorely lacking in realism. There is little chance that one man could execute the maneuvers that Drake pulls off, let alone his female companions.

When I turned it back on late last night the chapter option was back so whatever happened it must have been a minor glitch of some sort. I was also able to pick any chapter I want so that worked as well, thankfully.

I'm on Chapter 23 right now. It's definitely an amazing game, one of my favorites. I play online sometimes too and it's fun, doesn't feel like it was just an add-on at all.

I do agree on that point though. My little brother was watching me play and asks "How does he jump that far?" 2 seconds later Elena jumps across and he asks "Now how does she jump that far too?" ha. But it doesn't take away from the experience. Can't wait for the 3rd.

One thing they overdid it on was the cliffhangers (literal, not figurative). You can only have a character barely make a jump or have a piece of the ledge break off so many times before it just gets ho-hum.

It was still exciting to me, but seriously the people of Tibet are absolutely terrible architects. You honestly believe that it's a good idea to have to climb across poles, jump to a brick sticking out of a wall, and then jump backwards onto a spinning cog? Plus, there's no way the soldiers could have advanced as far as they do (not giving any spoilers). I mean, half of them are wearing full armor and are incapable of running. On top of everything, it seems like every area was filled with bottomless pits.

That said, it's probably my favorite game of the last two years with Fallout being its only real competition, and a top 5 this gen.

Agreed, it's one of my favorites (if not #1) of all time. Man, I really need to play Fallout 3 though... it's been sitting in its case for 5 months.

One other thing I just thought about that was goofy was any time you fell into water you weren't supposed to be in, you died right away, even if it was an 8-inch fall and the water was like a foot deep. Just felt extremely silly when it happened. I guess that comes with the territory with these types of games, but still.

Finally beat this game tonight. From start to finish there was never a dull moment.

This just may take my Game of the Year 2009. Just a fantastic game!

US, January 21, 2010 - The lines of communication are apparently cut between Sony's regional offices. Yesterday, first screens of Uncharted 2's upcoming download content debuted... through Sony Japan.

This would be understandable if the content consisted of scantily clad anime girls skins (by the way Sony, we'd totally pay a lot of money for that!). But the content actually concerns some of Sony's more Western-friendly properties. Try Resistance, Killzone 2 and Infamous!

In Japan (and presumably the rest of the world too), Uncharted 2 will see a download content pack on January 28 consisting of character skins for Nathan Hale (Resistance 2), Chimera (Resistance 2), Zeke (Infamous), Good Cole (Infamous), Evil Cole (Infamous), Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko (Killzone 2) and Helghast Soldier (Killzone 2). Sony provided some first images of these.

A February 25 content pack will follow and include content from the original Uncharted, including two multiplayer maps, one set in a ruins setting. Skins for this pack include Nathan Drake, Elena Fisher, Atoq Navarro, Eddy Raja, Gabriel Roman and a mercenary.

Finally, April 15 with see a third download pack consisting of a new cooperative multiplayer mode, four multiplayer maps, and five skins.

The initial January 28 pack will be free. The other two packs are paid, although Sony did not share pricing.

Also in Japan, Sony will be bundling Uncharted and Uncharted 2 for a special Twin Pack. The pack will come in a special gold sleeve. Since this is said to be a limited edition item, treasure hunters may want to contact their import shop about ordering.
