i haven't purchased any DLC for this game. but I love playing it. Am i really missing out by no having the new maps? If so which pack should i get first?

i just played this for the 1st time since feb. god this game is so good. i have the first pack only. i thought the 2 maps were good although the best one to me is the one with the sub in it. u also get like 6 or 7 new skins..if u choose to u can actually get just the maps for 3.99 or 2.99...cant remember as i purchased the full pack at 5.99. i believe 2nd dlc has the split up option as well.

the 2nd pack that just came out looks nice too...especially highrise map as its very vertical. im gonna get it when i go to the gamestore for red dead redemption as im not in a rush since i play my 360 way more. i dont think ur missing out persay, but if u played it alot at launch and wanted new content, i def dont think either pack is a waste cuz this game has some of the best maps ive ever played. only dlc i dont plan on getting was the "skins" pack that was the 1st ever dlc for uc2 where they had guy from infamous, killzone soldiers, etc.

thanks man. i have no need for new skins but I've seen some of the maps and they look great. Plus there are nothing but noobs on the old maps. I'm an average player but I feel like a God because of the lack of competition.

are there any issues with lack of players in the new maps? i think i'll just go ahead and buy the DLC. Is there away to buy a maps bundle?

they dont have a map pack bundle for pack 1&2 yet. but u should be able to get dlc 1 without skins and dlc 2 without skins for $6-$8 total (2.99 or 3.99 each...cant remember which it was).

as far as players on the maps, there is no seperate playlist..u just pick ur mode and go into matchmaking. i guess when it wants to pick dlc maps, it brings in more ppl that have it. i aint gonna lie, for sum reason the last time i was playing online, it did seem to take awhile longer to fill up prolly due to what i explained. but the good thing is most times the same ppl stay in the room at least for a few gms to speed that up

see this is what concerns me. if i'm paying extra for these maps I want full access to them. I was just on the naughty dog site and there are people complaining that the DLC maps don't show up often enough.

i def didnt have that problem. at the time, there were only 2 maps available in that first pack...in the little time i played, less than an hour, i played both maps. and most times they come up for choice, the dlc usually gets the vote

Just beat this today. AWESOME!!!! I dont determine which is better between 1 and 2. I just group them together as one experience (same as MGS, GOW) and that experience is greatness. A definite top video game experience for me.

yea i thought gears of war 1&2 was a nice campaign...this kills it! i just finished my 2nd playthrough on the 2nd to last difficulty since my first playthrough at launch was on the level in the middle. enjoyed it just the same. guess now ill do some coop since i havent really done it at all. i usually just play ranked competitive games.

I just picked it back up again the last week. To me it is still the most fun MP on the PS3.
