    Re: Mass Effect 2

    Kotaku

This DLC is Mass Effect's ode to James Bond. It is an undercover slip into a formal-attire-required party at the estate of the shady Donovan Hock, mixed with a bit of schmoozing, a safe that needs cracking and then gunfire. There is a vault in this 90-minute level. It contains statues of familiar characters and two of the most popular statues from Earth: Michelangelo's David and the Statue of Liberty.

That's a tease, Hudson told Kotaku, of what has happened to Earth in the Mass Effect fiction, though we're not going there in this DLC. "At some point we will go to the Earth," he said. When? He's not saying.
Hudson described Kasumi's Stolen Memory as the first of a series of paid downloadable content offerings for Mass Effect 2. While this new one doesn't tweak the game's engine he said that it is already enabling BioWare's developers to try new art tricks and styles. He said that other DLC Mass Effect 2 projects are underway. They may very in length of quest and type of content, but they're coming.

I wonder if we get to keep the formal attire for wearing as the causal outfit on the ship?

ME 3 needs to have a 60 hour length for just the main story, plus another 20 for side missions. There should be no, "Hey what about..." statements when you finish the game.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

That means I'd sink about 120 hours into the game @_@. But it would be oh so ****ing worth it.

That would be much more development time they would have to sink into it as well as a bunch of money so which might cause this sucker to be a solid increase increase in the price or dlc. Would love the same type of length but that is askig fo complainers. That sucker wouldn't be done for almost double the time and probably would suffer with a lot of fluff added.

Someone found some audio clips from what will probably be DLC with Liara and the Shadow Broker. The video doesn't really matter, they just tried to match the clips up with the conversation you have with her during the game.

Maybe he forgot and needs a nice reminder. He got his stuff in ME 1 so I want the reward now.

Suppose I have to kill him (or her?) off with my 2 Paragon characters anyway as they didn't hand anything over.

I wrote a blog recently about my response to the game's "relationship" aspects and how the game seems to be treated unfairly by those unfamiliar with it due to the sexual content and romantic subplots. I didn't want to post the whole thing here because it's basically a novel, but I'm going to give you guys a link if anyone's interested in seeing what I have to say:

"Um, isn't that the game where you can screw aliens?" This exact sentence came out of the mouth of my best friend after I told him that Ma...

On a side note, I wish there was more dialogue available after you finish the last mission. But I suppose it's understandable why there isn't.
how did you play through in 34 hours and only get one dude killed? was your ship fully upgraded too? I will eventually play through again as a different shep - but upon reflection there were certainly things mass effect 1 did better. I hope bioware realizes what they are and kind of splits the difference. The choices in this one were not nearly as hard for example. Remember killing the arachnid alien or setting it free? That was a real dilemma with no 'correct' answer and a good choice of either paragon or renegade ...I never got that this time around really. In fact, renegade choices were usually just being flat out mean or a dick instead of "I'm going to do it my way" style. Being a renegade in the first didn't mean being a jerk all the time. It was more kurt Russel swagtastic.
There were also times in the 1st where using a sniper rifle was beneficial in the way it is in real life ie. killing from distance; the levels and environments were never big enough or open enough to truly need that weapon in the way it's intended to be used.

I love the game though and think it was fantastic, I just hope they don't continue too much in the same direction, and realize they should add some of 1's strengths as far as design goes.
