Re: Mass Effect 2
The new vehicle and 5 new missions will be coming "late March" for free through the Cerberus Network. No sign of Kasumi though.
I wanted to see what Singularity did so I made an Adept. Then it was awesome, also the Shep I ended up making was also awesome and I wanted to play through again. Then I couldn't use my exisiting ME 1 import because I couldn't change her name or backround, only class and look. So now I have to back through ME 1. Someone just take this game away from me.
Infiltrator is still on hold until they release Kasumi.Comment

Singularity sounds impressive. Is that what you get hit with from Harbinger? If so, this class is a lock on my 3rd time.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Having never played the first game, I grabbed this off Steam the other day for some reason... anyway, I thought the first couple bits were a bit boring and didn't really enjoy the shooting robots gameplay.
Does it get a much different and should I keep playing to experience what most of you seem to be calling a classic?Comment

She's mentioned in one of the news report things you can listen to.
It's what the Blackstorm fires. It just doesn't explode in power form. It's a magnetic ball and it holds enemies in place trapping them in the magnetic field so like making your very own shooting gallery or you'll be able to throw more powers at them. I want to try finishing it without guns using that.Last edited by goh; 02-26-2010, 04:35 PM.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Yeah, you won't get the necessary attachment to the story, which is what makes this series a classic, if you have not played the first one. The story and the characters are what make the game. The gameplay just enhances those two aspects, in my opinion. If you aren't drawn to the story, you don't really end up seeing what makes this game great.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I enjoy the soldier much better than I did with ME1. His ability that makes time slow down and you get a damage boost can be literally spammed constantly at the power evolution stage. Thats what my bro plays as, I roll with Tech armor.....lol.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Mass Effect 2
Having only rented the first game, getting about 25-30% through...and almost 90% close to competing ME2, I now want to go back and purchase ME1 and start a brand new story from that point forward based on a lot of the stuff I've heard from everyone in this thread. It seems the story is much more well-rounded if experienced right from the start.
Spoiler
I'm not ready to have any characters die on me. I've grown too attached to them throughout the game, and if any of them were to die, not only would I be missing out on great achievement points, I think I'd be destroyed for a week. Pathetic, yes, but you can credit that to some pretty great characterization and writing. Usually Schindler's List and Let The Right One In can only do something like that to me.
So I've been upgrading everything in sight, hoping everything works out. Although from what I've heard, that may not mean anything when posed with the "crucial decisions" I still don't know much about. I wonder if the loyalty missions you perform has anything to do with it. Oh well, it won't be long before I find out.
This may have been discussed before (blame me for not looking), but has anyone talked to Mordin before choosing to elope with Tali before the final mission? He goes into pretty excruciating detail suggesting "necessary precautions". Hilarious doesn't even begin to describe it. His character is a total riot.Last edited by CarryTheWeight; 02-26-2010, 09:11 PM.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Mordin is one of the best video game characters ever. He is hilarious. The "safety" speech and the singing had me dying.Comment
