Re: Mass Effect 2
If you play no other DLC, you GOTTA get the Citadel DLC. It's well worth the price. You can skip Leviathan and Omega. They're fine and all, but not essential.
Citadel is basically BioWare's thank you letter to the fans of the franchise from the beginning. So many lil' references and brilliant lines.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Playing on XBox360. Frustrating as the ME Trilogy edition is only $40. Could have bought it instead of paying $20 for ME2 DLC, $12 for ME3, and then $40 for ME3 DLC. If it goes on sale I would buy, but I can't think of any DLC that's been worth $15 for any game I've played to date. When you start getting into the $15 to $20 range, that's typically the price of the season pass (all DLC).Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Does the ME Trilogy set have the DLC preloaded? I didn't think that was the case.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I'm confused, what does that mean? Only the DLC that came free with ME2 then? I honestly thought it had all of the DLC with it. That's usually what the anniversary/yearly released do game wise.
EDIT: Your right. Looks like the DLC varied by platform as well, though the one thing that is consistent is the ME3 DLC was basically not included.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Bringing this back from the dead.
I loved ME 1 but never got 2 or 3 for some reason.
I'm jonesing for a 'new' game. Sounds like Part 2 is the best of the lot.
What bothers me is that I lost my save from ME1 so it won't carry over.
Will that make a difference?
The game is $5.00 at the local EBGames so I figured it's not much of an investment if I don't like it.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Epic grave-digging, Money.
Although, now that it's revived...with the benefit of having gone through the entire series, IMO this was the best game of the bunch. The first one was too "dice-rolly" in the combat (and the fact that there were only basically 3-4 different interior locations that just kept getting recycled got boring quickly), and the 3rd one just wasn't "new" enough for me. The story, characters, and gameplay of ME2 were the best of the trilogy.Comment

Clearly Shiala needed more screen timeComment

Re: Mass Effect 2
2 was the best but 3 was pretty awesome also.
If you do get 2 I would go all in and buy all the DLC for the full experience.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: Mass Effect 2
I keep waiting for 2 and 3. If the entire series becomes backwards i would love to go back and play through it all again. Love love this series.A Rising Storm in the North | Cheese's Eastern Michigan Dynasty (NCAA '12)

Re: Mass Effect 2
This bump is going to cause me to reinstall the series on my PC and start playing.
ME2 was the best, and yes, spring for all the DLC.Comment
