Very disappointed with Bioware for these prices (though totally not surprised since it's an EA company now). There doesn't seem to be a season pass option available either. I'd gladly pay $20 for all 3 or even $25, but not $40. That's almost the price of a new game, or one that's on sale at least.

I paid $20 for DLC for ME2. Would have been far better off to buy the ME cumulative release that had all 3 games + DLC in it. It's pricing structures like this that really turn me off to games, and gaming companies. Boo to both Bioware and EA.
Not sure what system you got it on but it wouldn't surprise me if the DLC for a lot games go on sale after Thanksgiving through New Years.

If you play no other DLC, you GOTTA get the Citadel DLC. It's well worth the price. You can skip Leviathan and Omega. They're fine and all, but not essential.

Citadel is basically BioWare's thank you letter to the fans of the franchise from the beginning. So many lil' references and brilliant lines.

Playing on XBox360. Frustrating as the ME Trilogy edition is only $40. Could have bought it instead of paying $20 for ME2 DLC, $12 for ME3, and then $40 for ME3 DLC. If it goes on sale I would buy, but I can't think of any DLC that's been worth $15 for any game I've played to date. When you start getting into the $15 to $20 range, that's typically the price of the season pass (all DLC).

Does the ME Trilogy set have the DLC preloaded? I didn't think that was the case.

The Trilogy only comes with the DLC that comes with original games.

I'm confused, what does that mean? Only the DLC that came free with ME2 then? I honestly thought it had all of the DLC with it. That's usually what the anniversary/yearly released do game wise.

EDIT: Your right. Looks like the DLC varied by platform as well, though the one thing that is consistent is the ME3 DLC was basically not included.

Bringing this back from the dead.
I loved ME 1 but never got 2 or 3 for some reason.

I'm jonesing for a 'new' game. Sounds like Part 2 is the best of the lot.
What bothers me is that I lost my save from ME1 so it won't carry over.
                Will that make a difference?

The game is $5.00 at the local EBGames so I figured it's not much of an investment if I don't like it.

                  Epic grave-digging, Money.

Although, now that it's revived...with the benefit of having gone through the entire series, IMO this was the best game of the bunch. The first one was too "dice-rolly" in the combat (and the fact that there were only basically 3-4 different interior locations that just kept getting recycled got boring quickly), and the 3rd one just wasn't "new" enough for me. The story, characters, and gameplay of ME2 were the best of the trilogy.

Agreed. I still liked the "unknown" in the first game, especially with planets and some of the locales like Noveria.

2 was the best but 3 was pretty awesome also.
If you do get 2 I would go all in and buy all the DLC for the full experience.

I keep waiting for 2 and 3. If the entire series becomes backwards i would love to go back and play through it all again. Love love this series.

This bump is going to cause me to reinstall the series on my PC and start playing.

ME2 was the best, and yes, spring for all the DLC.

I just realized no one ever addressed your question...I think as you probably have already discovered, the key decisions you made (or would have made) in ME1 can be selected as part of the prologue and then ME2 will play out as if you played part 1 and made all those decisions. I think you might miss out on some mild stat bonuses or achievements, but they're pretty much irrelevant.

Anyway, sounds like your weekend is spoken for at this point....
