Listening to a podcast yesterday and they said it takes place in 1905. Also they said there will be 3 main cities/towns and the theme deals with Industialation of the West.

April 30th? I can't wait that long for this game. GUN was one of my favorite games of all time, and this game makes that look absolutely pitiful. This looks like GUN on steroids, with longevity.

I can't wait. That preview was amazing.

Anyway,can you hogtie anyone? Or is that just gonna be something you can do to the bandits? Because if you can do it to anybody,I know I'm not the only one who is gonna be dragging some woman through the dust.

I would honestly be surprised if you couldn't hogtie anyone you wanted.
It would probably affect your moral compass and you'd get a bounty and a posse on your butt, but you can probably do it.

The first thing I'm gonna do in this game is walk into a saloon and raise hell after slapping the bartender.

Then, I'm gonna find a nice sweet couple walking down the street and utilize the Read Dead Bullseye mechanic and pump all 12 shells into the dude's sweetheart before I hog tie him to my horse and leave him in the wilderness to fight off the wildlife.

And when I'm done having my fun, I'm gonna do it all over again. Because I'm stupid like that.

For those that are just discovering this game, I believe you have the ability to wipe out an entire town.
If you go back a few days later it'll still be a ghost town.
Eventually it'll build back up, but your reputation will succeed you and you'll be a wanted man whenever you mosey into town.

I also read that all three territories will have their own distinct weather and wildlife.
So if you venture up north, it'll be cold and you'll have to be aware of bears and wolves.

Head down south and it'll be hot with coyotes and such roaming the valley.

If this game comes off as good as it sounds, it should garner some GOTY nominations.

Okay, new scenario:

When I'm low on cash, I'm gonna buffalo some dude in town and hogtie him to my horse.
I'll then drag him out to the wild and use him as bait for a bear.

After killing and skinning the bear, I'll ride back into town, sell the hide and then wait for that same dude to mosey back into town.
When he does, I'll knock him out and do it all over again.

Hahaha! This game is gonna be sweet!

I think a lot of people loved GTA IV because of the general craziness they could cause just roaming the streets. I found that a lot of fun in Vice City but it's gotten really tired for me. I found GTA IV a bore and I couldn't get into it. I hope the missions and more imporantly the gameplay are good. inFamous sucked me because the gameplay was so good.

I listened to the $ guys 1 up podcast from last week. I think they said you can Hogtie any animal. I think even rabbits which there may be a achievement for.

FYI. I just visited Amazon, and they set thier release date for this at 4/27/10. Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back again.

If it gets pushed back again, I'll be highly upset. I'm really looking forward to this game more than any other game coming out. But it's been at 4/27/10 for a while hasn't it?
