a good place for Cougars seems to be the area around the bridge crossing from New Austin into Mexico

Re: Red Dead Redemption
LOL at the raider comment
So I find this guy right along the side of the road, and he's running in place. He's glitched, it looked like he was running into an invisible wall. lol.
I decided to end his misery of forever running in place by hogtying him and throwing him on the train tracks. I waited a while but it was worth watching him get destroyed by the train.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
mountain lion/cougars are everywhere (most consistent place has been just north of macfarlane's ranch just past the RR tracks- boars can be found here too)
bears ive seen south of Manzana post, north of the post on BOTH sides of the tracks. but moreso WEST of the tracks in the snowy area.. they are easier to kill on the east side of the tracks though since they tend to stick out in the tan/yellow grass compared to the dark bushes in the snow packed area.
MP is kind of fun, if you have 8-15 of your friends around for free roam. otherwise its quite a mess and doing only gang hideouts seem boring over time. they net you the most. definitely better and quicker than some of the rank increases that give you NOTHING for doing ALOT. All of the other games are fun but I already feel at a disadvantage as some guys are just too good. I guess they have unlocked higher powered weapons in the gang matches???Last edited by RubenDouglas; 05-22-2010, 11:59 PM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
RE the rare animals:
SpoilerI believe they only come up when you are at hunter level 9 or 10, when it specifically tells you what and where they are... a red blip occurs once its in your range and you take it down.. I think the rare ones are just a one time thing.Comment

You may not be the only one.....
I can't stay out of this thread, and am seriously considering just succombing to the temptation and buying this sucka.....
I also love Westerns, and have never played any type of third person game, so this would be a first for me.....Comment

It truthfully feels like a mixture between living within a Western and watching a Western movie. And this is coming from someone who has logged over 25 hours in the single player and another 5 or so in the multiplayer.
It's worth it.Comment
