    Re: Red Dead Redemption

I still play, working towards 100% completion. I've got quite a few bounties left to do and a couple other assorted tasks.

The atmosphere/scenery still gets me every time I play. Whether it is sunrise/sunset (absolutely gorgeous, especially when near a river or lake) or the dead of night (love the brightness of the stars on a clear night and how the moonlight lights the landscape), this game truly is a thing of beauty.

Same. I just started a second playthrough about two days ago (just finished beating Undead), and I'm just as amazed and sucked in as I was the first time. Honestly, I probably put this right behind Uncharted 2 as my favorite game of all time.

I just beat it finally along with Undead Nightmare last week. It's easily my favorite SP game I have ever played. The emotions it involves and overall story is something to behold. haven't played many SP games that were THAT good.

Once I got the Plat I gave it to my brother to play. I still have some mulitplayer trophies to get so when i get it back I'll probably put it back in. By far one of the greatest games I have ever played. As far as ambience the only game I compare it too is Bioshock which isn't even on the same level as RDR.

So I was about 30% done with the game when my ps3 crashed and had to buy a new one. I let my cousin borrow the game and have him save his progress and put on a flash drive. But when I copy to my ps3 and makes me start over. So there is no way copy his save over to my ps3?

i might be mistaken, but i think information on a ps3 hard drive is married to the system that originated the information.

No, it's not. I believe his problem is the information is not originally saved under HIS profile.

I picked this game up again at Gamestop during the 2 for 1 used game sale. I also bought Undead Redemption. I beat the game and then sold it and never finished a lot of side missions and stuff. I am glad I picked this back up again. I forgot how awesome this game was.

I decided to go ahead and purchase the War Horse for .99 cents the other day during my second playthrough...

And to think, back when this released, people were paying up to $60 for that thing... idiots

Still have yet to play this game. The last non-sports game I played and finished was Uncharted 2. How does this game stack up?

It's all relative, but I've played both and I enjoyed RD more than UC2.
But I'm also a very big western geek.

Everyone raves about UC2's cinematic approach and for good reason. But I thought RD was even better.
Add in the fact that it's free roaming with tonnes of side missions and a beautiful environment and it's a no-brainer. For me anyway.

I only played non sports game and then I was needing something for christmas and got this. I enjoyed it and it got me wanting to play non sports games which im now addicted to. I haven't beat the game got 30% and my ps3 crashed and now im about ready to go by and start over. Now that you can pick it up used and it takes a long time to beat it's well worth the money.
